- What types of customers have you worked with?
RSP has done documentary and portriat work most recently, but was a staff photojournalist at a daily newpaper. That is were RSP cut his teeth as a photojournalist.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask to see a portfolio of images like you might like to have taken. See if it is a style they are comfortable working with.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Photogs have to use not only their skill at capturing the moment, but use very technical cameras and lenes, not to mention the computer programs and tech know how needed to produce a nice shot. It is not just pointing, shooting and hoping for a good image. All along, the photog must also incure the cost of photo gear, gear insurance, health insurance, car insurance and office space... All things we have to do to run a bustling photo biz!
