We loved Francoise' teaching style. With our 6 year old she incorporated learning and playing. Our daughter was waiting for her lessons and developed an interest in French language and culture. Francoise is very reliable, does not cancel classes and was responsive to our special requests. We highly recommend Francoise for French lessons as we continue studying with her.

About

Bonjour, prospective francophiles! I am a French tutor, living in SW Portland and working as a student at Lewis & Clark College, where I will be a senior this fall (2013). I love teaching, especially French language, to help others learn a foreign language at any age. In addition to living and attending school in France, I have been the French Club president of my university for two years, giving me an experience in leading cultural/language activities in an academic environment. I would love to teach you, your children, or your friends French language a culture through tutoring! I have a very flexible schedule this summer, and I am open to suggestions on where to meet for tutoring sessions.

Pulled me out of a hardspot. Biostatistics online proved more difficult than I expected. Yves helped me understand the material and saved me from having to possibly take the class over again. Explains the problems in methods easy to understand. So grateful I found thumtack and they sent me Yves.

About

I'm a Beijing native and a college graduate from China. I have also received an M.S. degree from CUNY, and I'm working on my Master of Education at the University of Colorado. I have 12 years of teaching experience and am passionate about teaching Chinese language and culture. My students are from many different backgrounds and are of varying ages. With a deep understanding and appreciation of both Chinese and American cultures, I can help young students to establish a strong foundation and help business people to reach their goals quickly. I hold myself to a high standard and am open to any feedback. There is no charge for any student or parent who is not satisfied with my tutoring. I offer makeup classes and try to be flexible with my time, but please respect my 24-hour cancellation policy. I teach private lessons and group classes in Louisville. However, I am happy to travel to another location if that is more convenient for you. You may ask me about my online teaching. I look forward to hearing from you and to the joy of helping you to achieve your goals!

Sergio is an excellent tutor. He is patient and does what ever it takes to help you learn the material. He also adapts to your learning style and pace. Additionally, he is very flexible with meeting times/places and always willing to meet last minute if need be. I plan on using him for future college math courses and I highly recommend him.

I have been taking private french language lessons with Mathieu for 3 months and he is an absolutely wonderful teacher. He has in depth knowledge about the structure of the french language, he is always prepared for our lessons and I have learned so much about how to conjugate verbs in many tenses. He is always on time and I am thankful that I have found such a great instructor. I highly recommend him!

It is not easy to learn a language at the age of sixty-four. However, it has always been a dream of mine to learn French. After five months of classes, it is starting to become a reality. I can honestly say I am understanding all the complexities of the language and it is starting to make sense. Martie Helweg has been a superb teacher and I would highly recommend her skills to anyone who is serious about learning a language. Barbara Fenton Denver, CO
