Introduction: Cornerstone Farm is committed to offering top-notch English riding education in small, focused classes. Our goal is to assist people in maximizing their love for horses and riding by constantly enhancing their knowledge of horses and riding ability, conforming to the classic horsemanship principles.
A proper position in the saddle produces an effective and strong rider, so we put equal importance on control and position. Our method to flatwork includes basic dressage training: horses are ridden forward, with suppleness, rhythm, and balance. This foundation permits us to jump under control and safely.
At Cornerstone Farm, we specialize in bringing along green horses correctly and slowly. We're also available for problem solving or boosting the training of a competitive horse. In addition, we can provide exercise riding or maintenance for schooled horses, and can exhibit horses for owners at local competitions.
For riders who do not own a horse, we have school horses available which are willing and sound. They vary from ponies to thoroughbreds, guaranteeing the right mount is on hand for riders of every ability and age. Students riding school horses join in saddling and grooming, and should plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to starting your lesson, and stay for 30 minutes after every lesson to properly care for your mount.
