Compost tea is a highly-concentrated liquid form of compost that is made by extracting and multiplying beneficial microbes in aerated water. The finished product is a living “tea” that functions as a fertilizer as well as a nontoxic pesticide. Conventional products such as chemical pesticides, fungicides, and herbicides end up killing these beneficial microbes, which adversely affects ecological health overtime. **NEW SERVICE** Weed removal with steam! Weeds can detract from beautiful hardscapes and landscapes, but weed control doesn’t have to mean harsh and destructive chemicals. With a patented Australian technology called Satusteam, we control weeds with the power of pure water. This patented application destroys the cells of undesirable plants on contact with a 205-218°F mixture of steam and water. Our starter package includes an onsite evaluation, an initial treatment to provide immediate results, and a follow-up visit to ensure continued success. Edaphic Solutions was started in 2016 with a mission to help people reduce their chemical fertilizer use, grow soil to grow healthy plants, and store carbon into our soils. Shelby graduated from CU Boulder with a degree in Environmental Studies and Geography. She also earned the internationally-renowned Permaculture Design Certificate during her studies. She is continuing her education with online courses about the soil food web and a pesticide certification with the USDA.
