FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to have some correspondence via phone, email, or text where we address where you want the pictures to be taken, the general vibe of the shoots (we recently had a really fun "album cover" theme), what you'll be using the pictures for, and the ages/comfort levels of all participants! I generally like my turn around for pictures to be one to two days so I like knowing everyone's expectations as well as my schedule.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Just years of practice and learning through reading and trying.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I received my first digital camera (probably around the age of 16) and I realized that I could take unlimited pictures, I would set out every weekend and take hundreds of photos. Since then, I upgraded from my point-and-shoot a couple times and began taking pictures within my family, then friend group, then neighbors, until it snowballed into taking pictures at parties and being asked to do Christmas card shoots. I've loved every single shoot, so that got me thinking about starting to do this on a more part-time basis vs. just sporadically.
