I asked to just have a connection put on my gas line so I could connect a line to my outdoor fireplace. Blaze Fireplace was quick on their responses and headed out to my house right away. I asked a few questions and received a quote of $300 to complete the whole run to my firepit. Although I was going to do that myself, I just thought it would be nice to have it all done and agreed. First, I wanted to say the installers were extremely nice and polite and finished the job which is why I added a star, but was really confused when they needed to run to Home Depot three times during the job to even get some of the most basic tools such as a pipe cutter. I even gave them my own power saw with a metal blade to use since nothing they had was working and wanted to run to Home Depot again! They then told me their boss/investor said could not connect the line outside due to liability. No worries on that, but what was the biggest scam was that they wanted the $300 when the job was done without doing everything they said initially. In reality, I could had another company place a Tee on my gas line for $125 which is what they essentially did using my parts. I asked to talk to the boss/investor to see if they could give me a price that matched the job they did and they said he was unavailable. The installer said that if they accepted any less it would come out of his portion and not the company which is ridiculous. Part of me felt bad the installers were there for 4-5 hours with all the unprofessional trips to home depot but they did get the Tee in my line and connected it to the 25 foot CSST pipe I had next to it. It just seemed like the company did not give them any tools or equipment to do a job and they bought stuff for the first time for my job. I get the feeling the installers are just contracted out from Fireplace INC which they don't really care or support customers or employees... Ultimately, I paid them $250 as I did not want to put up a big stink, but feel very taken advantage of. Truly a bait and switch.

Details: Supply new gas line to appliance (within home) • Other gas line installation • Iron • Outdoor BBQ or grill • Yes, I will provide the materials • House

Blaze Fireplace & Construction INC's reply
Sorry you have had a Bad experience we no longer have those employees and we are apologize for this misunderstanding. All contractors that are certified will not hook up a Gas line thats from home depot that has been run by a customer it is a huge liability issue once again sorry for this.
