FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
A typical session will cost $200 and usually will last one to one and a half hours. I've learned from experience that this is plenty of time to capture some good shots. Once back at my home office, I will carefully review all the images from your session and put together a gallery of the very best. You will then receive an email inviting you to a private gallery of your images.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started to take my camera out with friends when we were rock climbing and shoot photos of them. Being an experienced climber myself I was able to get right in on the action. It was a lot of "trial and error" at first but soon I was getting compliments on my photos. I soon caught the attention of major publications and it just took off from there. I have also been an understudy of sorts with a very accomplished professional photographer here in Boulder. He has taught me a tremendous amount of the technical aspects of the trade.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I originally started photographing my friends out rock climbing. I pursued this genre with a passion and started to see the fruits of my labor by having several images published in major magazines. Soon, people were contacting me asking if I would come out and shoot photos of them climbing. Lately I have been exploring different areas of photography to expand my horizons. I have had great success with portrait and headshot photography. I keep searching for ways to grow in this ever changing field.
