I hired her to help me because I didn't have time to plan a wedding with my busy work schedule. My window was very small. I ended up moving the wedding date because of my lack of help. Breyona, this review completely baffles me as we had such good communication during the months we visited numerous venues and started the plans for your special day. The only monies paid to me was the initial deposit and the only communication I have received from you since June of 2016, was a call from your mom telling me that you had moved out of state and would I please send her a copy of my agreement that states deposits are nonrefundable. I am sorry that you feel this way as I was so very excited to help you with your day and am not sure why our communication abruptly ended.
Mary is an incredible wedding and party planner. She helped my sister plan her wedding, and also planned a graduation party for me. She is kind, considerate, and makes you feel like you are the most important person in the room. I would highly suggest her for any event! I cannot recommend Mary enough - she literally kept me and my husband sane. We planned and executed a DIY wedding in approximately 6 months on a tight budget, including periods of time when my husband was overseas and I was road tripping with my mom and unavailable for discussions. The day that we met Mary and her team I knew we had met the right person to deliver on the execution of our wedding. Mary and her team handled everything that came up from start to finish in a completely professional manner, but more importantly, with love, deep compassion and a desire to make everything absolutely perfect for us. This business is definitely Mary's passion. Importantly, she brings a team of people including her family and friends who have very complimentary skill sets - some are the vision keepers, some keep the lighting, sound, and stage set, others are skilled operations professionals, etc, with Mary listening deeply and figuring out who amongst her team can help to make the day happen. One note: a wedding is an entirely personal thing, and Mary is awesome at helping you realize YOUR vision. However - she's there to make the vision a reality. Only you can make the vision. If you need someone to set the whole thing up, tear the whole thing down, give you practical advice, contract the right vendors, bring the insurance, make sure that you eat, make sure that your guests don't lift a finger - call Mary. Mary and her team were wonderful to work with. I had a vision for my son's post wedding reception that was unusual and Mary was able to help that vision to come to life. Mary's Magical Moments service included assistance with contract negotiation, consultation, and putting the party vision together. One of the most important points was sticking to the budget. Parties can be budget busters. My recommendation would be to figure out your budget and then stick to it. Mary offered many suggestions to assist with staying in budget. I was most impressed with the love, support, encouragement that is put into what she does. The defining moments in life are when your children get married and start their lives. I say that to express that this was a very emotional period of time in life to begin with. Mary offered loving genuine emotional support during this time. It was very difficult for me to "let go" and trust a new person that I didn't know, without micromanaging tasks. I gave her my vision, she brought back idea's to choose from, and she listened to my concerns. She demonstrated resourcefulness with economy. We discussed any concern, and she honored my decision. I had the pleasure of working with Mary and her family when planning my wedding this past summer at Deer Creek Valley Ranch. The first time I met with Mary and her daughter to discuss my goals and dreams for the wedding, I could tell that she was going to do whatever it took to make my wedding day memorable. Through her busy schedule she was willing to meet with me several times to ensure that we were all on the same page for what the big day entailed. She went out of her way of finding affordable decorations to make my vision come true. Her daughters were very thoughtful in providing great ideas and insight on decorations and other wedding details.
