Lin has a great sense of humor. She wasn't put off by what she had to work with and has great taste. After spending years teaching middle schoolers (!), she went to UCLA's four-year program in interior design. Her clients are lucky.May 28, 2017Verified
Lin has designed 3 homes for me including a whole kitchen remodel in which we won the Crystal Award. She has done a beautiful job and I have learned to trust her suggestions and judgements. She is FUN to work with as wellAug 10, 2015

I love working with Lin for many reasons. Lin is professional, talented, has an eye for design function following the form and at times adjusting the form to bring thoughts and ideas into reality.Lin has a wide range of global resources to pull from and craftsmen and to utilize achieving success as she makes sure every detail is right. Lin makes your house a home by listening to you and helping you by guiding you and keeping you away from some of the snares people get themselves in. Her expertise will make you breath a sigh of relief knowing your in the hands of one of the top designers in the country that I have ever had the pleasure to work with; five stars are not enough!Feb 3, 2016

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Every project is distinct and has unique characteristics. Sometimes I am designing & supplying all of the products for a remodel and sometimes I am asked to give a paint consult. Projects can range from simple to complex. Take a week or a number of years. Therefore I charge by the hour for design services. If the client wishes to purchase through me, there are discounts. I offer a complimentary consultation so I can find out about the client's project and tailor my services to their needs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? After a brief phone conversation, I meet with the prospective client in their home to find out more about the scope of the project. At that meeting I share my portfolio, method of designing and how that applies to the potential client's project. I also share my professional history, awards, education & qualifications. If we are a fit, the agreement is signed and the project begins.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?As a Professional member of ASID, I passed a 2-day exam covering the information and skills required to give my clients the best Interior Design services. In order to keep my membership in ASID I am required to take a number of continuing education classes every 2 years. In this time space I have taken a number of individual classes as well as an 8 hour class called Regreen. I also completed the Certification in Living in Place, as I feel this is an important facet of life.
