Set up a staging area for a flawless finish and faster cleanup.
Step one in any painting job is to establish a spot for our materials. After having thought our job through, we gather up all our tools and supplies, which we'll need, and place them just outside each room. Now, our stuff is out of our way and within easy reach. We won't slip on it, move it or have to look for it after we get started.
At Colorado Paint & Stain, we prime every patch. After we fill in the dents and dings, we prime all patches, including the small ones. Unprimed patches will absorb paint and leave noticeable spots. This is called flashing -- just like the other kind of flashing, it's embarrassing and unprofessional.
When we apply primer, we don't just brush it on. To keep tiny ridges of brush marks from showing, we dabble our brushes against the walls, leaving a bumpy texture that better matches the texture of the rolled-on paint.
Painting will provide many advantages to homeowners, accentuating the beauty of a space while increasing the value of the home.
