Introduction: I am a recently retired USAF Lieutenant Colonel who has played music most of my life. I have been playing guitar for ~20 years and have been performing in bands for ~10 years. I am currently playing lead guitar in an up and coming local band called Region 5. I can teach beginners to intermediate players and those who are looking to develop lead playing abilities. I offer a relaxed learning environment that focuses on students goals. I teach part time and am looking to take on 6-10 more students. I am very passionate about playing guitar and love to watch students progress and achieve their goals.

Great rate great communication GREAT TEACHER. Got 10 lessons for my boys birthday and he loves everything about the experience. Mike is a retired member of the Air force and extremely easy to work with.

My Ten year old has been bugging me to play guitar for a while now. The search led us to Mike and has ended there. He made my child and I have a great first experience, even lending my kiddo a guitar until we have a suitable one. Mike is professional, fun and we are so ready to ROCK!!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First lesson is free and is focused on identifying student's current playing level, knowledge of music theory, and establishing goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have many years experience teaching in the military. I have taught at the graduate level. I am currently in an online guitar certificate program through Berklee School of Music.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I learned that I have a passion for teaching while in the military. Combining that with my passion for guitar made sense for a second career.
