FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Some of our basic services have a set standard pricing dependent on the size, location, and type. Those can include soils reports, forensic/structural visual assessments, foundation designs, drainage certifications, onsite wastewater treatments system (OWTS) design, Most full projects and architectural designs have a far more detailed scope of work involved and are bid in a detailed proposal based on the different services provided, scope and size of the project, type of design/construction, and individual requirements.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Each project is unique in the scale and type of services (architectural, structural, forensic, geotechnical, materials testing) that may be required. We also tailor the process to fit your needs as an individual client. Initially discussing the project by phone is a good start. Meeting face-to-face at one of our office locations is usually beneficial. Some smaller projects can be handled just through email and phone. Site visits are often needed to truly assess the existing conditions and proposed work. The more information you can provide from the start, the quicker the process will be. We don't commence any billable work without having an authorization for that specific scope of services. Consistent communication is always key to a successful design project.
