Very happy with the work Dion has done with our new pup. He is responding very well to the methods employed. Dion seem very good at identifying dog personality traits and how best to go about getting results. He is very direct and to the point which we see very much as a positive in this sort of job. Would highly recommend his services. The training is more expensive than other options out there, but after multiple conversations with other trainers, he seemed like the best fit for our needs. Other trainers interviewed told us many of the behaviors our dog was exhibiting may not be trainable. Dion was up to the task and has done an excellent job.
Pete was a life saver. He taught us the techniques we needed to change our dog's behavior. We went from chaos to calm and began to enjoy our new puppy. Pete always listened to our concerns and provide guidance. Having the training in our house allowed us to work with our dog in her environment.
Laura has helped me get back in the saddle after 18 years. Her horses are fantastic, well rounded, safe, and offer a challenge for riders of all levels. Laura's riding lessons are approximately 1 hour, however she has allowed my lessons to go over the time schedules when needed. She is a good instructor for learning the basics and more. She takes the time to properly address safety for horse and rider as well as the details required to properly care for and own a horse. The care and time she puts into her horses is reflected by the amazing fitness level and happy attitude her animals have.
We learned a lot from Teresa! She helped us with techniques for our 1.5 yr old dog's fear/aggression towards strangers and leash reactivity. We were given great tools during our 3 months of training to continue improving in the future. Teresa is very knowledgeable about animal behavior and a professional that we would certainly recommend.
Chris helped us work with our 3 year old Australian Shepherd who we felt had become aggressive and unmanageable after being attacked by another dog. Our dog had previously been through 3 other training programs with other trainers that did not seem to be as effective as we needed them to be. Chris is a thoughtful and dedicated trainer. He does not sugar coat things and make unrealistic promises. While working with our misbehaving pooch, he explained that without our dedication to correct bad behavior, the dog would not succeed. Training a dog is not something you do for awhile, it's a forever process, and Chris helped us understand that and be successful. He used smart techniques and explained what our behavior was relaying to our dog. He helped us take control of tough situations and also helped us understand why some situations would continue to be challenging, but would get better. Ultimately, Chris cares deeply for the dogs he works with, and it comes though in all of his interactions. We loved the time we were able to spend working with Chris and would recommend him to anyone interested in a quality 1:1 experience.
Kay is amazing. Our Border Collie started learning on day one. She clearly understands how different animals respond to different situations, motivations, etc. We could not be more happy with our experience.
Alex has been helping me improve my happiness as well as my dogs. I have seen greatly improved behavior from my dog and we are still working at getting where we want to be. I feel more confident every week!
We adopted Chappy last year thinking that he was just a little on the shy side. But just days after bringing him home he started snapping and growling at visitors, and avoiding us. Thankfully we found Scott. He really took the time to help us understand our dog's behavior and how we could effectively influence it in a positive way. He showed us the little changes we could make to help Chappy feel more comfortable in our home and with strangers. Within weeks his aggression was gone and if you met him today you’d never guess that our happy, playful dog was ever fearful or aggressive. We’d recommend Scott to anyone looking for dog training and can’t imagine where we’d be without his help.
Hi...my name is gigi Mitchell...I discovered Vipet Sitter Ser 13 or 14 years ago.I needed a dog walker for my 2 little Bichon's," Scotch and Soda"....Cindy, the owner, came to my house for our first meeting. I was very taken with her kind professional business tactics, animal knowledge,...compation..., and all the services she had to offer. You can be sure I wouldn't let 'just anybody' be responsible for my 2 little buddies !!! And she doesn't cost an arm and a leg....She has very well earned her "best pet sitter service' all these years....She's one in a million ! gigi Mitchell.
Working with Bill has been a life saver for our family! We rescued a very sweet Pit Bull mix, but she needs a lot of work. Our pup took to Bill immediately and we saw results and improvements after one session. Bill has been very easy to work with. He always includes the whole family in the training sessions, which is great! He is experienced with aggressive dogs, can assist with a variety of training needs, and is very reasonably priced. I've already referred him to my neighbors! I can't say enough positive things about working with him!
Our Thumtack contact was a very knowledgeable and confident trainer names Andi Nault. She was not dissuaded by my very active Rhodesian Ridgeback who loves people and any dog withing eye view. She worked patiently with us, gave us some new tools to use with Penny and lots of encouragement. She offered doggy daycare which I thought might be useful and it was. Penny learned to read the cues of the other dogs that didn't want to roughhouse. Andi was very good with Penny, consistent, confident, reassuring and had other options to offer us if we wanted them but no pressure. She recommended Boarding facilities we had no knowledge of, other trainers, behavioral specialists, hour long dogie play time, etc. I highly recommend Andi Nault for whatever dog behavior you want to address.
A real animal lover from the word go! Both of my dogs love her, and enjoy her company. I appreciate the piece of mind I get when she cares for them.
Connor obviously loves animals! He is considerate and reliable and deals with our cat that needs shots for his diabetes with no problems. We highly recommend Connor and we use Colorado Pet Sitters consistently.
Helena was an amazing dog trainer both for our rescue dog Woodrow, and for us. Her training was multi-faceted in that she trained us as much as she trained our dog. Woodrow is a rescue, and we called Helena after he developed a rather nasty biting habit. We were desperate to get help immediately, and unlike other companies in the area, Helena called us back immediately, and like us, took the issue of our aggressive dog very seriously. When other companies believed that it was "just a phase" or that a muzzle or a shock collar would be the best course of action, Helena respectfully disagreed. She proved that aggressive dogs can and will respond well to positive reinforcement and behavior modification through intense but rewarding training techniques. When we "interviewed" Helena, she met us at our house for a 90-minute consultation. She provided us with printed handouts on aggression as well as some initial training techniques to begin. We decided to go with her, which was a life-changing decision for our dog; Woodrow has improved drastically since Helena has worked with him. When we first had Woodrow, he could not be within 20 feet of a stranger without barking or growling, and now, his "bubble" has been greatly reduced. During our 8-weeks with Helena, we worked on a doorbell training routine, practiced how to be around other dogs on walks, learned what to do if a stranger approaches us on a walk, how to manage off-leash dogs, and even how to navigate when someone hugs me (he is protective, too!). She came to our house/nearby park always, which was so important as my husband and I both work full time. She was flexible with our schedules and made herself available based on our availability. Finally, her rates are very manageable and fair. It's easy to see that Helena is not concerned with gouging our paychecks for her noteworthy service--she simply wants to see dogs improve. It's refreshing! With Helena you get a true professional who will put your dog at the forefront of her practice. Without Helena, we were ready to give up on our sweet boy, but now, we have renewed hope that he can he rehabilitated for good. Thanks Helena and Training House Calls for being exactly what we needed to save our dog. Best decision ever :)
First, my animals LOVED them! And they are skiddish. Next, they were very professional and went above and beyond my expectations. Finally, they are flexible and worked with my crazy, last minute schedule.
Very good with animals and animal behavior
Victoria with Furever Behavior Dog Training is a wonderful trainer. Our dog was a rescue who had lived on the streets and he had many issues. Our dog guarded his food and toys, did not know basic obedience or manners, was not housebroken, did not know to come when called, did not know how to walk on a leash without pulling my arm off, did not know about or like his crate and more. After working with Victoria, we learned how to give our dog the cues he needed to get the behaviors we all wanted. He quickly learned to love his crate as his safe and special place, housebreaking was rapid and our dog learned to trust us. Victoria gave us the tools and skills we needed to be good dog owners and our dog responded positively and swiftly to Victoria's techniques. And, speaking of positive, Victoria only uses positive training methods -- no punishment. And our dog loved, loved, loved Victoria. Well done!
I've never met a more caring and supportive vet than Dr. Questen, she's been our vet for many years, my animals love her and she's always there when we need her! I highly recommend her!
She's amazing trust her with my animals and kids

I grew up with all kinds of animals - rodents, cats, dogs, and horses. I started working with dogs when I was 15 years old. Now a days I work front desk at a dog training center and in my spare time, I volunteer as a dog trainer for the Dumb Friends League and I volunteer at a Boxer rescue here in Denver. I'm very comfortable with dogs of all sizes and when your dog is with me, he/she will be both physically and mentally stimulated since I love long walks and I always bring puzzle toys for the dogs.
