Eastern Traditions Acupuncture

As a first-time patient, Kate has been a perfect fit for me. She really listens to my concerns each session, and personalizes the treatment and herbal teas accordingly. The office is located in a very cute part of the Highlands, it's very easy to get to and I've always found a parking space. Although I have my treatment, I've already seen great strides towards my primary concerns with my menstrual cycle, and other aches and pains. I highly recommend contacting Kate! She is very responsive and runs an excellent business.Apr 18, 2017Verified

Q & A
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am always on the lookout for new seminars or continued education classes that present the newest research and development in the field of Acupuncture & Oriental medicine.
- What types of customers have you worked with?Acupuncture is very effective in treating pain, both acute and chronic. But what most people don't know is that acupuncture is highly effective in treating internal health concerns. Some of the most commonly treated conditions include neurological disorders, digestive disorders, upper respiratory disorders, urinary disorders, reproductive disorders disorders of the eyes, ears, nose, and throat, depression, anxiety and insomnia, immune-compromised conditions, and addiction.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work? Many people are familiar with acupuncture because their doctor, chiropractor or physical therapist offers it. However, it is very important to seek services from a Licensed Acupuncturist that has received the proper training necessary to safely carry out treatment. Licensed Acupuncturists endure a 3.5 year Master's program that includes over 3,000 hours of didactic and clinical experience. While physical therapists, chiropractors and M.D.'s are legally allowed to insert acupuncture needles, their training is anywhere from 15-300 hours of study. Some trainings are even held over a weekend seminar. Be sure to protect yourself by receiving acupuncture from a NCCAOM Board-certified and state licensed Acupuncturist.
