Introduction: Good Entertainment! We perform classic rock music with a solid concentration of 60's hits that appeal to a wide audience. We can easily perform an extended set of hits from "The Summer of Love" 1967! The music is well played, with minimal interruption to the flow of songs. We enjoy audience participation as much as possible. Each member of the band brings decades of experience & talent, and we love putting these talents together as a group, performing for an audience that dances.

Ugly Rumor is a "Great Rock and Roll Band." They play a variety of music that can be enjoyed by all ages. I would recommend them highly .

Classic Rock Band Entertainment

We hired Ugly Rumor for a 60th birthday party and they were awesome. We wanted everyone to dance and the band played songs to make that happen! Their set up was impressive with a stage and many instruments and everything sounded great. We had lots of compliments from our guests that they enjoyed the band and had a blast.

We hired Ugly Rumor to play at our company's annual Holiday Party downtown at the Magnolia Hotel. The band was great! Arrived and set up early, they were terrific with the guests, the music was fabulous, a pleasure to work with! We have booked them for this year's party-by popular demand.

Came into our bar, setup themselves and packed it out! Great Band, Totally Pro! A real surprise for us. The lead and harmony vocals were awesome and the classic-rock song list was perfect! The fans packed it in, the band had two encores. and sales were way above average. Thanks Guys!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We generally charge $200/hour, but this can vary depending on circumstances. We are a band of 5 musicians plus a sound man. We have travel time, and we show up 2hours before start time to set up, plus 1.5 hours to take down (which isn't included in the hourly rate calculation).

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We recognize that many folks who are looking to hire a band to play live music have never hired a band before in their life. I make the process easier via initial question & answer to be sure our style of music and performance is a match for their event. Then, once we're comfortable - we can discuss budget & price. We always start with a "market price" ( because Thumbtacks format requires this), but for unique organizations or individuals, we can arrange compensation that fits your budget.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

We're a band of very experienced musicians, each with decades of playing our instruments. Formal training helped create who we are today. And we rehearse weekly to hone our performance to create a unique LIVE experience for our audiences.
