FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Generally, I'm $30 per hour. But if you have the time, and you are learning well and making great progress, I often stretch the time limit. $30/hr with a 1 hr minimum cost is what I charge. You can feel free to pay more as a tip if you particularly enjoyed the lesson the previous time we had a lesson. Effectively though, it comes to $30/session I'm really not a stickler for time.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, we sit down and talk about what your experience is. We'll talk about what your goals are and what my recommendations are to help supplement those goals. You and I will plan a road map for you to get where you want to be.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I played Jazz professionally in Chicago, Il for 3 years. I graduated from the Ravinia Jazz Scholars program two years in a row. My teacher was Dennis Carrol, an amazing bassist with a focus on economy of movement, good music theory and perfect time. After that I taught at the Philomusica Music School. I ran the Group Piano program and taught over 100 students while there (ages 5-44). I currently play in a band called Contraband out of Denver, Co. We tour sometimes and play festivals in the south west and Colorado.
