- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I try to be very clear about charges and rates fairly early on in the meeting process. In most scenarios I will quote a job and perform the work for a flat fee. The hourly rate is usually applied when I have to be on-site and/or responding to an un-planned event or to an open-ended situation.
