Introduction: 20 years combined experience in the photo industry has it's benefits. We are consumate professionals with a style that is both current and classic. Most companies use two photographers (a principal and a second). The principal is a pro, and the second is generally not. We offer two professionals who have worked together since 2007. When it comes to photography, a lot has changed in the last 15 years. Digital technology has made the industry more accessible to amateurs, but it hasn't changed one some of the basic rules. Experience is confidence, and confidence is what stands behind beautiful work. Great photographers can evoke real emotion just like a film director. If you've ever been to a doctor and felt uncomfortable, then you know "bedside manor" is just as valuable as knowledge.

JUSTIN IS AN ABSOLUTE PRO!! He was referred to my family by a friend who works for a magazine here in Coral Gables, FL. We contacted him and told him our family would be vacationing in Vail, CO, and had a very limited amount of time. He called me back in a couple hours and suggested tagging along for half the day, he had a ski pass, and I thought it would be great to get some informal lifestyle shots of the the family and kids. WHAT AN AMAZING IDEA! And honestly, it was wonderful having a local tour guide on such a beautiful day. My kids are great, but they can be a handful. Putting them in a fun setting was a brilliant idea. No fake smiles. No posed unnatural stuff. The work was incredible! WHAT AN EYE. My mother thought they were from a magazine. Justin sent us a proofs online within the week, and we liked it so much we asked if he could organize the images into a book. This is where professionals differ. You can tell he's has been doing this for a long time, because he was upfront, and practical. He told us that he simply didn't think it was cost or time effective for us to go through him to do the layout. He directed us to some online contacts that he's used in the past, and the books turned out perfect. When you trust someone, it's like finding a good hairstylist, you listen because they're probably right - and he was. I'm happy to say that we will be welcoming a new member to our family in May. I called Justin and asked him if he would join us in Miami to do some maternity shots. He's also shooting my nieces wedding in the West Hampton next summer. The last time we spoke I asked him, "why did you offer us such a good price?" If you know Justin, he's a pretty quip, funny guy, and he said, "I don't make money of my clients, I make money off my referrals." - priceless. I know Justin doesn't do family work for a living, but I'm happy to say that he's the only photographer we will be using in the future, at any cost. Well almost :) Nancy Blakely and Family

I hired Justin to do maternity shots and they were simply AMAZING. The girl who shot my wedding was a nice person with a camera. Justin is a real artist. Not only was the work great, Justin has a very disarming demeanor and is a consummate professional. I felt very comfortable working with him. Justin advised me to print my portraits on a heavy stock art paper and the results were stunning. By far my favorite piece of artwork hanging in my home. I couldn't be happier with my experience and have referred him to several friends.

Justin and his camera partner Jo were both fantastic!! Justin took the time to meet with me in person before the wedding, over dinner, so that we could talk in detail about my vision for the wedding pictures and what was most important to me. He was extremely communicative throughout the process, both pre-wedding and post-wedding. On the day of the wedding, Justin was there the entire day, for 12+ hours, with the same enthusiasm and energy at the end of the night as he had at the beginning of the day. He was extremely personable and fun, going around making friends with my bridesmaids, groomsmen, vendors, family, etc. so that everyone felt comfortable and would forget that he just also happened to be carrying a camera. Justin is a true professional, and also a pleasure to work with, and you can tell that he takes his art very seriously. His assistant Jo is also great, and you really can't beat the quality and professionalism that you are getting with both of them, especially at how affordable their services are. I would highly, highly recommend Crimson and Clover to anyone looking for wedding photographers.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
If you were never the kid that doodled in the back of class when you should have been learning algebra... double down on the algebra because we doubled down on the doodling.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have both taught photography and feel that teaching is the best way to learn. Also, if you blink long enough in this industry it will pass you by. Having said that, we prefer the "pay no attention to the man behind the curtain" approach to what we do. You just have fun and make the love last.
