So happy with the photos Jill took! They were bright and COLORFUL and I just laugh every time I look through them all. Our wedding was a couple years ago and I've been following her blog ever since. We had a winter wedding and our wedding day timeline got so behind. We had time to do family portraits but not those beautiful couples photos outdoors you always see. She asked us if we would go outside to take them during the reception and I said no because I was too cold. Sorry Jill! :( Looking back I wish I had because she does such gorgeous couples photos. But she never pushed us to do any photos we didn't want to take and I was very pleased with her for that. If I could do it again I would have allowed more time for photos. (Our wedding planner pushed us not to.) Anyways, besides the timeline thing the day was amazing and our wedding pictures are our favorite candid pictures we have of us.

Hiring Jill Houser Photography was one of the best decisions I made for our wedding. She was referred to me by a friend so we met for coffee to get acquainted. My fiancé and I immediately loved her and were very impressed by her work. We loved her classic, yet playful, style and immediately hired her. She was so helpful during the planning process and even went to the venue on her own dime before our wedding to make sure she knew exactly what she wanted to do. The day of the wedding was seamless and perfect. Jill and her assistant were punctual, professional, and clearly worked hard to get all the special moments. When we received the photos, we were blown away. The pictures Jill captured were so incredibly beautiful!!! It was everything we wanted and more. She also sends a very special surprise after the wedding, which proves what a special and talented woman Jill truly is. I believe wedding photos are hit or miss. I am so very thankful we hired Jill! She is a tremendous talent and I will have these lovely memories for the rest of my life. Thank you so much, Jill!!!!

Incredible eye for detail, colors, and placing. We live in a day and age where everyone has a camera on their phone and can be a "photographer", but Jill has the artistic flare for capturing masterpieces. She did an absolutely beautiful job on my wedding photographs and I'd suggest her to anyone who is searching for a pro. You will not be disappointed.

We are so glad we chose Jill to be our wedding photographer! She is a friend of a friend and when I saw her website I fell in love with her work. She got a picture of me and my mother that hangs in my living room. Jill caught every beautiful, emotional moment throughout the day. She is such a hard worker, so professional and was great at getting my entire obnoxious family in line (literally) for pictures. I recommend her to all my friends.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet in person. Or with Skype if they live out-of-state. I think getting to know your wedding photographer is a good idea since they'll be with you for at least 8 hours on the most important day of your life! I wouldn't want a stranger at my wedding. I love meeting for drinks with clients and I love engagement shoots so that I can get to know them further.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes! I'm constantly downloading new photography trends and tips and I follow all the top leaders in wedding photography.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I asked for a camera for my 8th birthday. My mother was an artist and she taught me everything I know--still does!
