FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The "Get Me There" pricing includes the first and last half hours for set up and tear down. I round up at 10 minutes to the nearest half hour for time as the artist. Feel free to give me a hard or soft cut off time. I do have a sign I can bring that let's others interested in getting painted know that they are the last in line and no further faces will be painted that day.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For Illustrations: The more source images you can provide the more the result is likely to come out how you imagined or better. Please check out my Commission Projects with Exaples images to see how I can turn your reference images into the project you're envisioning. For Face Painting: I am going to be able to do much better work if I know what theme I'm working with. I've done Harry Potter book events, Wonder Woman Day, Beauty and the Beast, Tinker Bell, Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee, Destiny 2, Trunk-Or-Treating with a church group, Halloween Parades and more! The more specific of a theme the better I was able to prepare a set of images I was able to recreate. As always if there are special requests at the event all I need is for the photo to be brought up on a phone and I can do it! The ammount of detail depends on a number of factors but the most important is the patience of the child which I know is often in short supply!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In Middle School I took after school classes at Monart School of Art which allowed me to get a great jump on my artistic abilities. For High School I went to an Art Magnet and qualified at graduation for my Art Magnet Certificate which required a lot of classes in a specific medium (I chose drawing as it was the most flexible and overall useful) in addition to minimum grade requirements in other classes. This gave me a major ammount of headway in my College art courses where it was immediately evident how much of an advantage my training had already given me.
