We have done several remodels over the years. Some okay experiences and some bad. However, our most recent one was done with Pro.com and we had an exceptional experience. I was skeptical at first given our past experiences with contractors but they certainly proved that they do things differently. From the bid, to the follow up and to the actual construction - I can’t say enough good things. Nothing is perfect in a renovation project so as long you know that going in and understand the process you will be satisfied. Our project was a kitchen/office/main floor remodel along with updates in several other areas of the home. We were told 4 months and it took 4 months. We were given a bid and it did not go over budget. Our project manager and his team were always available and communicated well the entire length of the project. If we weren’t happy in the slightest, they made it right. I highly recommend this company. They seem to have the right professionals in place to get projects completed on time, with high quality and on budget.Mar 5, 2019Pro.com Home Services Colorado's reply
Thank you, Seema! We do our best to set honest expectations at the start. Glad to hear you had a great experience with Tyler and the team.
If you're not going to pay them big, they won't be interested in the job. This company is what I would call a "Cherry Picker'. I've posted a few requests for different projects and each time have spent way too much time going back and forth answering questions. Today I posted my most recent project on Angie's List and received a call from the company, the rep asking me surface questions but spent TOO much time asking me about my budget and what other quotes I've received...which after he said he would have his estimator call me to set a time up to quote. I gave him a ball park number and then he quickly declined...it's clear they're looking to take advantage of people who don't get quotes and know what the difference between labor and material costs are.Apr 12, 2018VerifiedPro.com Home Services Colorado's reply
Hi Erin — We'd like to formally apologize for the negative experience. Since then, we've done a bunch of training with the sales staff that does this initial outreach. We do ask about budget upfront to make sure we’re on the same page about how much these projects will cost before we set up an appointment. It's clear that we should have handled this question with more tact. We strive to be as transparent as possible about costs — and our bids do break down material and labor costs. Regardless, thank you for your feedback, as it helps us continually improve our process.
Deck or Porch Remodel or Addition
Waste of time. I have a 26' x 12' deck that needs to be built and I spent 1/2 hour on the phone with them telling them all about it. They said they would have someone call me to schedule a time to come out and provide a quote. Then a few days later they sent me a sappy email with a dog holding some flowers. The email basically said they couldn't be bothered to come out and give me a quote.Jul 12, 2018Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Transparency is at the foundation of everything we do. We deliver detailed electronic quotes with an itemized list of all materials and labor costs. That means no surprises — you'll know exactly what you're paying for. We also make sure to review the quote with you, so you can ask questions, get clarification, or request changes to the project.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? Our team is here for you. Once we receive your initial request, we'll call to learn more about your goals: the scope of work, budget, and timeframe. If we're a good match, we'll schedule a time to visit your home and take a closer look, gathering measurements and taking photos to create a detailed estimate. When the estimate is ready, we'll review it with you (either in-person or over the phone) and make any changes or modifications as necessary.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?On average, our project managers have about a decade of construction industry experience. Many started in a trade, working their way up to managing crews, job sites, and entire projects. We are licensed as a general contractor in Colorado. All of our local subcontractor partners are also licensed, bonded, and insured.
