Alex is a true professional musician and teacher. I had seen him play many times around town and finally asked him if he taught lessons. Here we are 8 months later and I don’t feel like a beginner anymore. Alex always comes prepared with new material/music to work on and is very patient with me. I would recommend Alex to any one of my friends or family for lessons.Dec 18, 2019
Alex is one of the most patient, professional, and thorough musicians and educators I've had the pleasure to work with! From lessons to session work I couldn't recommend him enough. If you want someone who does the job right the first time, Alex is at the top of the list.Dec 18, 2019
Having worked with Alex on many occasions I can say that he is hands down in a league of his own! His dedication to his craft and constant drive to push the envelope forward is what makes him one of the best! Highly recommend to anyone of any age. Alex’s ability to adapt to any environment musically transitions seamlessly into everyday life. This guy is a joy to work with and learn from!Dec 18, 2019
I have been studying guitar with Alex for the past 16 months. He is very patient and kind. I have enjoyed my lessons very much. My first guitar teacher was not a good match for me, and I very nearly gave up on learning to play guitar. I am left-handed and it is a great help to have a left-handed teacher. Everything makes sense, and I am really enjoying learning to play. As an older adult, it takes me longer at times to learn new things, but I get great encouragement from Alex, and I have progressed a lot since I started with him. Alex's love for music and guitar come through in his teaching, and I am thrilled to have him as my teacher. I would simply say that Alex is a great teacher!Dec 14, 2019
I absolutely loved my lesson with Alex! His teaching style is relaxed, fun, and super informative. Even in just my first lesson with him I felt like I was able to make some great progress, and had a lot to take away and work on in my own time. Definitely recommend.Dec 10, 2019
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?$50 per hour lesson $30 per half-hour lesson I offer single or monthly lesson packs, which consist of generally 4 lessons.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? When I get a new student I generally like to do a free 30-minute lesson to get a feel on how much experience they have had on their instrument. This helps me then build a plan for how to progress. If they are brand new, I have a beginner curriculum that I like to follow. From there I create a weekly lesson plan for each student based on their wants/needs. I strive to help each student achieve their goals, whether it is to jam with friends around a campfire, perform live, prepare for a recording session, or prepare for a college audition.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Bachelors in Music Performance & Recording arts
