I had a difficult time working with Cory Bryant from Makeup By Cory for my wedding and engagement photo shoot. My wedding was in May 2013. The problems with Cory are below: 1) Bad attitude 2) Unreliable with schedule 3) Asked for tips repetitively 4) Not good with Asian eye makeup, does better job with Caucasian On the day of the wedding, Cory and her team of 3 assistants showed up 15 minutes late. Immediately, Cory announced that they “had to hurry” because she “had another wedding to rush to after this one.” She was clearly stressed and repeated that whenever I or a bridesmaid made a request. I did not feel that my wedding was a priority at all. My biggest makeup concern was “no panda eyes look.” I’m Asian, so most heavy eye shadows make me look like I got punched in the eye – two dark puffy circles that make my eyes look smaller, the “panda eyes” look! Not attractive at all! I requested lighter colors that would make my eyes look brighter and bigger. Cory’s immediate reply was “I can’t make your eyes look any bigger than they are.” She started layering on darker eye shadows that I did not like. Meanwhile, my sister was getting her eye shadows done by an assistant. When my mother pointed out that we would like my eye makeup to look more similar to my sister’s, Cory said she was just going to let her assistant do my eyes. I could tell her pride was hurt, and the rest of the appointment felt “adversary.” I wish Cory would have listened instead of being in such a big hurry to get to the next wedding.

The first runway show I had ever done, Cory reached out to me. She pulled me up to reach my full potential that night. Applying airbrush make up she accentuated my natural features in 30-45 mins. Cory treated me with friendship the whole night, enjoying each others conversation. Before I walking, Cory shared a swatch of her personal lipstick to touch me up. Cory was very invested in me as her client.

At my daughter's wedding, all of the moms, grandmas, bridesmaids, flower girls, and of course the bride looked amazing, thanks to Cory and her team.

Working with Cory have always been a pleasure and fun experience. Her knowledge about hair and make-up is outstanding and she spends the time on detail and making sure the client and also the team that she is working with is happy. She is reliable and is able to work under pressure to meet deadlines. As a photographer, I recommend her for your hair and make-up needs for on location, studio, and on movie sets. Cory embraces a project from start to finish and is great to collaborate with! We recently worked on a viral video series together and she helped the stories' characters come to life with a very experienced background in special effects makeup. She conceptualizes the vision, asks the right questions and nails it every time.

My experiences with Cory Bryant have been amazing! She always brings joy and laughter to a set. She's an Amazing artist (Hair & Makeup)!! She definitely not only is a professional, but acts professional on set. Her expertise are one that I feel EVERY model and actor needs, if they want the job done right! She is a great person to know, too. Always bringing a smile to my face, no matter the occasion. Cory has done SFX makeup and Head Shots for me and we have worked together on several film and editorial projects. She is always a delight to work with. And I look forward to working with her many MANY more times!

I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to work with Cory for a photo shoot. She has amazing attention to detail, creativity, professionalism, and a wonderful attitude. Not only was I pleased with the end result of the make up, I also enjoyed my time in the make up chair. Cory is a joy to work with, and I can't wait to book her/collaborate with her for future events!

Great MUAH artist. She arrived to each location on time and was flexible with last minute changes to the schedule. I would definitely work with her again!

Cory did my bridal hair and makeup and hair and makeup for 6 of my friends. Her assistant was at the venue early and ready to start curling the girls’ hair. We did not have inspiration photos before the day of and Cory and her assistant were able to do the girls hair on the spot how they wanted it done. Because I didn’t want traditional, all the same look, bridesmaids this was especially difficult. All the girls looked beautiful and it was a fun experience to have everyone get ready together. Both Cory and her assistant were upbeat, listened to what we wanted and brought everything we needed. I did airbrush makeup and wore my hair down and both stayed put all day through all the pictures. She provided me with lipstick to reapply for the day too, which was fantastic. My mom was a crying mess during the getting ready part and Cory put some makeup on her for free and she looked fantastic! They stayed until the ceremony to do any hair or makeup touch ups needed for the pictures. I did not have to stress about how I looked the whole day which is why I wanted to get my hair and makeup professionally done and I felt beautiful even at the after party! Cory definitely met our expectations and exceeded them by helping my mom. Her prices, especially for groups, are reasonable and I would absolutely recommend her.

Cory is super nice and made me feel very comfortable since I had never had my make up done professionally and I am 50 years old! I had my make up done for my daughters wedding and everyone at the wedding commented on how natural and pretty my make up looked. The pictures look great and I am super happy with the job Cory did, I would highly recommend her if you are looking for someone to do your makeup.
