Took forever. Showed up whenever. Not knowledgeable. Had to help just to get the job done. Constantly asked for money. I will never hire again.Sep 17, 2017Second Chance Accessibility Plus's reply
Honestly I was told this was a swingset and I had to travel 50 miles one way. Actually it was a rec center with a fort, desk, monkey bars and more. I think the real reason for the low rating is that my dog was with me. He is a bi-polar American Pit Bull Terrier . He was with me since hot out and my truck was old. Finishing up job the lary of the house went to pet him. For awhile he was just fine enjoying the attention. Then he started to growl at her, So I interceded and said she might want to leave him alone. I had the dog on a car chain so He was not going anywhere. This had a lot to do with my rating. 3 days from start to finish I only had to fabricate a couple of pieces.
He was real reasonable & stated until completed. Very happy with his work & will call againOct 4, 2017Verified
Steven built a wheelchair ramp, a trashcan bin, and a large work table for a neighbor. He also built a new box for a large shop fan, and re enforced some chain link fencing. He worked alone, and the jobs were done in a timely manor, and did a good job.Apr 15, 2015
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I only have my labor and time to sell. Any projects I undertake, my customer buys all hardware and materials. When shopping for you, $15.00 per hour is fair market rate, since I know what you need to buy. This in turn saves you time. I do encourage you to be with me since you pay for everything. Besides shopping to improve your home is fun. Many people would like concrete work done. What is not widely known is that a 100 square concrete pad at a standard of 3 inches in thickness, will take about (42) 80# bags of concrete to do. This does not include ground work and forms setting.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? You contact me. We agree for me to come out and offer an estimate. Often times I played with the idea of charging $20 especially when you have a more complex project like a kitchen or bathroom remodel job. Usually I apply the fee charged toward the project you hir me for. Here I am concerned about you, as a home or business owner you have an idea what you want. Maybe I can help you determine what it is that you need done. My job is to help you go from talking about what you want to do to, to making it happen.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Since my job is to service you, I keep learning so that I can be a better service provider. My background education is environmental engineering. Mechanical trades includes industrial plant equipment. Powered by electricity, hydraulics, pneumatics, and purely mechanical systems. Electrical work, draw and laying circuits, installing circuits, light fixtures, switches, plugs etc. You get the picture. Plumbing mostly sinks, toilets, hot water heaters, tubs, showers. Carpentry, ok really I am like a wood worker. Not a frame carpenter except for windows, doorways, wheelchair ramps and the like. This means I fix a lot of broken stuff and I build many useful things.
