The contractor correctly diagnosed that the reason my gutters were leaking is the drip edge was on the top of the underlayment and the underlayment needed to be on top of the drip edge. He was honest and told me the underlayment needed to be fixed all the way around the roof and he didn't have time that day so he charged me a reduced rate for just doing the inspection. I contacted my roofing company and they sent someone out to fix it at no cost to me so I was very happy to benefit from the contractors expertise! The contractor was late to our appointment though otherwise I would have given him 5 stars.
They did a move out cleaning and carpet cleaning for me on a home I had listed and did a great job, took the time and effort to really do the job right, sent me pictures of what it looked like when it was done and promptly got me a receipt for the completed work, highly recommend!
I originally hired KMA to do some work on my gutters, but it ended up that the job required a contractor. He was very gracious and actually came out two times to verify if he could do it, and did not bill me. I found this to be very honest and refreshing.
I hired David for a few projects last summer when we were doing a bunch of updating. First he extended our gas line to the kitchen for our new gas range. He also replaced the A/C and then installed a new sink for us as well. His team was great--very friendly, professional and considerate. Some contractors seem like they want to get it done and get out, but they were obviously invested in doing it right and they responded to every special request we made. When the range didn't quite fit the gas line, David even came back to adjust it and did not charge for it. And he stayed in touch with me to make sure we got the A/C warranty stuff done right. I'll contact him again when we need help.
The guys did a great job! We felt very taken care of despite the job being just a small bathroom remodel. They even assisted with getting our granite counter tops picked up and fabricated to accelerate the project schedule. Our facilities were down a matter of days, not weeks like the other contractors I interviewed had projected. Highly recommended!
I contacted Mountaintop Construction out of the blue because my office was having communication issues with another small contractor for our small handyman needs around the office. Steve Petersen contacted me almost immediately and after seeing what quality work he does, as well as having excellent communication with us, I let Steve know that we would be using his company for all of our handyman needs in the future. Steve is honest with his pricing and he is able to accommodate any schedule. I would highly recommend Mountaintop Construction to anyone!
Our forty year old tri-level home was in need of plumbing updates and repairs in three bathrooms and the kitchen. The baths were completely remodeled. All work was done to strict local code and passed inspection with compliments from the city inspectors. Project was scheduled such that at least one bath was available at all times and with minimum disruption to home activities. Remodel was done to our plan, but with very helpful suggestions and advice from the contractor. Even with unexpected events and obstacles in the existing construction this project exceeded all expectations and significantly improved the appearance, livability and value of the property. The effort was done according to budget and the contractor had an exceptionally pleasing disposition and ethic which was rewarded with a monetary gratuity from us. I would absolutely highly recommend their services.
Chris was great. I recently purchased a condo, and had some issues and necessary upgrades in both the garage and bathroom. Chris showed at the exact agreed upon time, he is super nice and personable. I showed him my issues and concerns, he offered his professional advice and we went after it to correct and complete the upgrades. Everything was taken care of in 4 hours. His is a total professional with a great work ethic, and very affordable. I could not be happier with the end results and cannot recommend Chris enough for any home projects. He will be my go to guy for any and all future needs.
Ryan Witt installed patio cover for my home. It was a substantial patio 30x10 ft. Ryan did outstanding work and was extremely professional. Ryan was able to translate our request and anticipate our requirements and produce quick estimate. Ryan was also extremely flexible and able to adjust project as it evolved and was able to adjust and add the finishing touches we requested. Project turned out great. Bottom line: Ryan is 5 star contractor. I would highly recommend him to others. He works well with other tradesmen and with inspectors. Ryan delivers quality product in a timely manner at a reasonable price.
Best find on thumbtack!!! This man is AMAZING!!! Reasonable rates, innovative and thorough! Have recommended him to all my friends. Charlie - thank you for making stressful home repairs easy......you are phenomenal!!!!
Jiri finished my bathroom and it looks amazing. I'm very happy I was able to find someone like him. The other two contractors didn't show up but Jiri showed up early and helped me with my decision. He did a great job and I would strongly recommend him to everyone.
From the moment I met with Mike D'Angelo to discuss a deck replacement on a home I was planning to purchase, I had a pretty strong feeling he was honest, knowledgeable and competent. I since learned he can do pretty much any project from the ground up and he and his crew just finished replacing my marble tile flooring with hardwoods, reconfiguring a 3-way gas fireplace including new stonework and taking out some corner and over-the staircase shelving units. I didn't give him much lead time but he was able to make everything happen within my time frame. He listened carefully to what I was looking for and came up with some great suggestions that I ended up using. He also proved to be a one-stop shop and whatever I thought of doing, he either could get it done or knew someone else who could. I highly recommend using Mike and All Universal. I have already signed up for a painting project and plan to use his services for my deck replacement in the spring.
I've hired a lot of contractors from Thumbtack, but David was one of the few to actually respond to my project with a specific response. He read all the details and knew I had an issue with my floor. He didn't send a blanket message, he catered it to my project. That is why I hired him. Not only was he on time and personable, but he also came with a solution that he executed in a timely manner and for a reasonable price. Our project was not an easy feat and we appreciated his transparency after each work day. We will be using him for many more projects around the house in the near future.
As a general contractor, dependability and quality workmanship is a must. My contractors are a direct reflection of me and my company. So it is important that they complete their work in a timely fashion, pass inspections and present themselves in a professional manner. I have found that with Tanner Brothers plumbing. We hired Stucco and Stone Masons, via Thumbtack. They had good recommendations, were very prompt in their response, came to our home for a quote within 2 days, and could start right away. Work included: 1) Floor leveling (our floors were very uneven!) 2) Tile installation 1100 sq. ft (12X12 travertine squares, arabesque travertine tile, 3X5ft subway tile shower + mosaic travertine shower floor tiles) 3) Plaster wall repair in our basement (7 exterior walls) To give you an idea of the VALUE this company brought to our renovation: We had received four quotes JUST for the tile installation that were between $13,000-$15,000, which did *not* include floor leveling or plaster wall repairs! These companies/individuals were booked for months in advance and their turnaround for completion would have been 4-6 weeks. This would have severely delayed our project. Filiberto (goes by Beto) and his two sons were very friendly and honest. They quoted us $8,000 for #1-3 work above, and said they would be finished within 3 weeks. They WOULD have been finished before that 3-week timeframe had we not miscalculated the amount of tile they would need for the bathroom floor. They were very understanding of our mistake and returned as soon as the rest of the tile arrived to finish the project. Beto’s crew of four men arrived every day around 9am, and worked around the clock - even SATURDAYS! They were extremely courteous, professional and hard working. Some days they did not leave until 8pm! I have never met such a dedicated, hard-working group of people!! If we had questions/concerns, they were very open to resolving the matter quickly. We are incredibly pleased with their work. Our basement looks AMAZING!! The sand colored tile and the plaster wall repairs has really brightened the space. We are planning to hire them again to repave our driveway and front sidewalk/steps in the spring. We hope you consider them for your future concrete, plaster and or tile projects!
We are very happy with the work ATP Contractors did on replacing our fence. Mike and the other workers were friendly, did excellent work in a fast manner, left our yard clean of debris and on top of that the cost was affordable. We are happy to recommend ATP Contractors.
Working with John and Ryan was a pleasure. Very professional, quality work, fair pricing. I would highly recommend this contractor. Thank you, I couldn't be happier!
They do great work. The best contractor I have hired online ever! You will be impressed with their work!
Armando is the best. We have worked with him on multiple projects. He remains one of our first picks on projects. If only all contractors were like Armando, the world would be a better place.
I contacted Thumbtack and requested bids from roofing companies on an insurance claim; 5 company names/contacts were provided. Of those five, only 3 responded and offered to provide an estimate. Of those three, two companies did an estimate from a satellite view. Of the two “satellite-based” estimates, one was $750+ out-of-pocket over what the other one bid. The other bid was completed as a few lines in an informal email, along with “yeah, we can do it – won’t make any money from it but we can always use a good rating.” This was also the company who suggested a ridge vent to replace the turtle vents “as long as you don’t live in a windy area.” The roof was being replaced for wind damage - duh. One contractor came out personally to look at my roof about 1 hour after our phone conversation. Dan Matheny from 1st Priority Roofing sent a written estimate, the company credentials, and the website for the roofing materials that he was proposing. It took about 10 days for the HOA to give their approval, all the while Dan kept in touch with me. By Monday of the following week, the roofing was delivered. By Wednesday afternoon the work was completed to include "code" upgrades that Dan arranged for the insurance to pay for. I am completely satisfied with the performance of 1st Priority Roofing and Sales Manager Dan Matheny. The new roof is beautiful and was zero headache to have done. I would re-use 1st Priority without hesitation and will recommend them in the future.
Michael did a very nice job painting my home. He was very professional and I look forward to having him do more work for me.
