Alhood movers were very careful with all of our furniture and were very courteous. I would not recommend getting a quote via the internet for a move though because it will be inaccurate. Our quote was around $250 and the actual move cost us $630. We underestimated how much stuff we really had, and had no idea how long the actual work would take. A two bedroom apartment took about six hours, which included an elevator. The movers were a little slow, but at least they took care of our things. So, I would suggest budgeting more than you think it'll cost you, but I would recommend using Alhood for a local move, and I wouldn't consider this a negative review...just an honest one regarding our experience.

Would recommend Alhood to anyone needing movers. They were able to be flexible with us start time (due to a delivery window). Unpacked a 17' storage unit and 12' moving truck jam packed with stuff in 3 hours with 2 movers. Very fast and very professional with positive attitudes. No damage to any items.

Allwood did a great job with the move. The packing part of the job was not done well, but they showed up exactly when they said they would, and worked hard until the entir move was complete. The entire crew was very professional and took care when moving our ffurniture

Load/Unload only - 2 men $80/hr + $25 vehicle fee. 1 BR Apartment. 2 men, 16' truck. $100/hr + $40 vehicle fee. 2 BR Apt/house. 2 men, 26' truck. $120/hr + $50 vehicle fee. 3 BR Apt/house. 3 men, 26' truck. $155/hr + $50 vehicle fee. 4 BR Apt/house. 4 men, 2-26' trucks. $195/hr + $75 vehicle fee.
