I started seeing Mike a few months ago for private guitar lessons. Having received lessons from a few other people, I can say that make is the best instructor I've had. I felt that I had hit a brick wall in learning music theory before getting lessons from Mike. But over the past few months, Mike has explained guitar music theory to me in a clear, and informative way. I know have a better understanding of guitar playing, and enjoy it more because of that. I would highly recommend getting guitar lessons from Mike whether you are a beginner, or a more experienced player that needs some help learning music theory.
I have been trying to find a music teacher that I really like and it's been hard. I really am kind of upset because no teacher has ever taught me what he has in two lessons. I have learned a lot more then in the last two lessons compared to other tecahers in the past. I would strongly recommend him for bass, keyboard and guitar. If you wanta be a professional musician and be in a band or just for fun he is the guy to take lessons from.
Melody was one of my first piano teachers, but by far and away the most influential. I remember feeling her love for music, and how that flowed over to me. While learning the technical aspects of piano is extremely important (and something that Melody is fantastic at teaching), what was vastly more important to me was learning to use the instrument to express emotion, and how much more can be taught besides that which is on the page.
I have known Mary for over 8 years, as both a musician and friend. She is extremely knowledgeable and talented in everything she does! Mary teaches piano, voice and guitar, plays the organ/piano/guitar at our church, as well as accompanying our choirs. I would highly recommend her as a music teacher!
My kids just started lessons with Catherine. So far we really like her. She is great with my girls and I think that they will learn lots under her. She seems to have a good system for teaching children about music and theory.
Jeff is a very knowledgeable and gifted teacher. He brings a unique approach to the table teaching songs of his client's choice; meanwhile incorporating the best techniques for chords and chord progressions. He is very considerate and values his clients time and certainly gets the most out of each lesson. I'm happy to report that I learned my first song, die a happy man by Thomas Rhett, after 2 lessons with Jeff. I highly recommend him to guitarists of all ages and experience.
I have been taking lessons from Jerimiah since August 2016. He has a wonderfully welcoming and positive attitude, which makes his studio a stress-free environment to improve your playing and challenge yourself. He is very accommodating of students' busy schedules, and is always responsive to text and email. He is very attentive to individual students' goals, and is proficient in a diverse repertoire from musical theater to jazz to classical, both for piano and vocals. He puts on seasonal recitals for his students, which is helpful for student goal-setting and performance confidence. I would recommend Jerimiah to vocal and piano students of any age or skill level. -Dan N.
We signed up for Traveling Music Teachers last week because we liked the idea of not driving our son to his music lesson - I have three kids, so driving all over town isn't always an option. A professional musician came to our house and did the lesson in my living room while I made dinner. It was perfect. Well done.
Peter is a very skilled, knowledgeable, and patient piano teacher! My 6 year old son has gone from never touching a piano before to reading notes and loving his success! I highly recommend him for any age and skill level!
My interest in playing guitar started in my early teens. I set it aside in my 20's and picked it back up in my mid 30's. I was self taught and could play but never really caught on to modes, scales and theory. So, at the age of 55 I decided it was finally time to take lessons! I got online and started researching teachers. After looking thru and reading many guitar teachers resumes I came across Gene on craigslist. He has a fantastic background in music and guitars and is an outstanding teacher. He is easy to talk to and got my issues right away. I've learned more in 5 months from Gene than I had in my 20 plus previous years of playing. Gene can teach anyone at any level! I usually get to my lesson a little early and have been able to hear the student before me. This student is a beginner and the progress in the past few months is amazing. I would highly recommend Gene to anyone at any level who wants to learn or improve their playing ability.
Allies professionalism, friendly demeanor, and strong enthusiasm for music and teaching made for a very enjoyable and helpful first lesson, and I am eager to pursue lessons with her in the future.
If you are seeking guitar lessons take this into account: You're going to learn the chords and strum patterns regardless of who teaches you. The trick is finding someone who is passionate about music and teaching it to others. Outstanding is not a word I sling around haphazardly, but Dave has earned it. Dave is very passionate about his music, is a very talented musician and he sincerely enjoys passing along his knowledge to others. If you chose Dave as your instructor, you will not be disappointed in any way. His price is a great value.
We have been with Set Apart Studios for 3 years. The teachers are talented, encouraging and fun to be around! We recommend Set Apart Studios to anyone who wants to foster a love of music in their kids!
Great teachers, and easy to coordinate lessons! All around awesome experience in advancing my piano skills.
Ever since I was little I always loved singing, and Meghan Dawson was my first singing teacher: definitely the most special one I've ever had. She is very professional, patient, has a lot of knowledge, and always taught me that the most important aspect about singing is vocal health. She taught me a lot about voice physiology, and even though I was very young to understand the complexity of the vocal mechanisms, I was able to learn a lot and to develop a voice control and awareness from the time I was 14. She taught me for almost 4 years and I couldn't be more thankful because she introduced me to the opera world and I simply fell in love with it, and now I'm the youngest soprano in the Academy of Opera at the São Pedro Theatre in Brazil. Now, even though I don't have lessons with her anymore, I continue to learn and develop, but only because I had a very good teacher. She will always be my friend and my favorite teacher in the whole world, the one who always believed in my potential above everything, and the one I owe all my accomplishments to. With her, you are definitely in good hands. Anna Beatriz Gomes
We've gone through 3 violin instructors before meeting Alex. By far he has been the most caring and engages with his students in a unique way that brings out the best in the kids. He gives the kids just the right amount of fun and challenge for the student. If you add parents that equation and engages in the child's lessons and practice and holds their child accountable for practice, it really is a formula for kids success. We can't say enough about Alex and the part he plays in our daughter life and music/violin education!!
We've had two children take lessons with Ms. Amanda and it's been a great experience. Amanda is great working with children, flexible, patient and always looking for new ways to motivate. She loves piano and genuinely wants to share her love of music with her students!
I started taking lessons with Leandro because a mutual friend recommended him. I had a bad history of former teachers who didn't really have a lot of technique and couldn't fix my vocal issues and help me to get the results I wanted. So I was kind of wary of lessons in general, and I had a lot of bad habits that I had built over the years. But after just over 2 months of lessons with Leandro, I already felt a big difference in my voice. The exercises he gave me were personalized to my specific problems, and he was available to answer all my questions, even if it wasn't my lesson day. And I felt like he always had my vocal health in mind. Today singing is so much more comfortable. I feel like my voice is healthy, and I feel much more confident when I perform because of the technical awareness that I learned in my lessons with Leandro.
Ms.Philgreen is a amazing teacher... probably has been one of the best music teachers I've had so far. I studied under her and from the ground level she turned me into a confident and competent musician(in a stunningly small amount of time). She connect and builds an incredible student-teacher relationship, multiple times she feels like a mix of my teacher, bestfriend, sometime family. All of our lessons had a comfortable and productive vibe, she made everthing so easy to understand while still challenging you constantly....Incredible teacher would recommend to anyone.
Alex is a great instructor, knowledgeable in music theory and very attentive to my child's technique. He is patient with my young son and is a positive influence on his musical growth. I would highly recommend Alex to anyone with music aspirations.
I have been studying piano with David for nearly seven years and can say with great confidence that he is an outstanding teacher. David is a tremendously talented pianist and composer who shares his knowledge and joy of music with his students. As someone who started piano as an older adult, I am particularly grateful for David's patience, humor, and insight. He has much experience training adults, and for someone like me that is a tremendous help. I would highly recommend David to students of any age, especially to adults, who wish to learn piano. You will find it a greatly rewarding experience.
