Our French Bulldog took instantly to the method of training. Dion was very patient with him (and with us)! We are so pleased with the results after just one session.
Pete is an excellent trainer. Even though, with previous dogs, we have been through several types of training. Having Pete in the home he shows us real world ways to train our Samoyed puppy in such a way as she doesn't forget what she learned as soon as she leaves the trainer's premise. Highly recommend Better Manners for any dog training needs.
We love Kay and are so happy to have her working with us on puppy training. She is full of helpful ideas and has been instrumental in teaching each of us (3 teenagers included) how to best train and get the results we are looking for. Each session she brings new information and tools to train with and our puppy just loves her. We are so grateful to have her with us on this journey!
Chris helped us work with our 3 year old Australian Shepherd who we felt had become aggressive and unmanageable after being attacked by another dog. Our dog had previously been through 3 other training programs with other trainers that did not seem to be as effective as we needed them to be. Chris is a thoughtful and dedicated trainer. He does not sugar coat things and make unrealistic promises. While working with our misbehaving pooch, he explained that without our dedication to correct bad behavior, the dog would not succeed. Training a dog is not something you do for awhile, it's a forever process, and Chris helped us understand that and be successful. He used smart techniques and explained what our behavior was relaying to our dog. He helped us take control of tough situations and also helped us understand why some situations would continue to be challenging, but would get better. Ultimately, Chris cares deeply for the dogs he works with, and it comes though in all of his interactions. We loved the time we were able to spend working with Chris and would recommend him to anyone interested in a quality 1:1 experience.
Could not have asked for a better experience with Rogue Foothill Dog Training. The owner Allison's communication was incredible as she sent me daily texts and photo updates of my dog's progress. Their training is effective and I highly recommend for anyone searching for dog training/boarding.
Alex has a unique philosophy on dog training that considers you and your dog in a reciprocal relationship. He is very observant and intuitive. It’s not about making your dog “obedient”, but about building real trust.
My 10 month old puppy was attacked while we were out on a walk in March 2017. At the time, I was waiting until he turned 1 year old to start training with an organization so he could one day be my Service Dog. Due to the attack and the mental damage it caused, the organization was no longer a good choice, so a friend recommended Rocky Mountain Canine Academy. I attended a class in May 2017 and it was exactly what I was looking for. Since June 2017 we have been training once a week, almost every week, but due to scheduling and my puppy’s mental state, we started with one-on-one training where the trainer and I would meet at different locations to get my puppy used to being in different “work” environments (for example: stores, skate parks, gyms, etc). The trainer is affordable, personable, flexible, and really knows how to work with dogs with different behavioral issues and their owners. As his owner, I needed retraining after the attack and the trainer has been incredibly patient with me. The trainer bases and tweaks the training towards what you want to work on. For example, after working one-on-one for a few months, I felt that we would benefit from a group class as both my puppy and I was still very skittish around other dogs. I definitely recommend Rocky Mountain Canine Academy to everyone. My puppy is now 2 years old and is doing great! I have received so many compliments of my dog’s progress and I could not have done it without Rocky Mountain Canine Academy! Both my dog and I have come a long way and I intend to continue training with them for the foreseeable future.
A friend glowingly recommended Dan and Bark Busters so I tracked him down and hired him to help my daughter and son in law with their two rescues. They were very please with the training provided and were truly impressed with the immediate results! Thank you Dan for your expertise and the peace of mind that your training provides. I have hired Dan to assist with my new rescue also. This one is a work in progress, but I feel confident that with Dan's training methods we can bring him around to being a polite and trusted family member.
We hired Brandon to mow our lawn, he has always been prompt, reliable and done a great job! He let us know immediately when his mower died in the middle of mowing (we were not home at the time), and returned to finish the job the next day.
Andi's basic obedience class was great. Our dog loved her and learned a lot. We feel that after the class we now have the knowledge to continue working and perfecting our dog's skills. Definitely recommend Andi's class.
Breanna is awesome! She is absolutely awesome with dogs! She is so knowledgeable and I love her techniques! I highly recommend her and trust her fully with my dogs!
Victoria with Furever Behavior Dog Training is a wonderful trainer. Our dog was a rescue who had lived on the streets and he had many issues. Our dog guarded his food and toys, did not know basic obedience or manners, was not housebroken, did not know to come when called, did not know how to walk on a leash without pulling my arm off, did not know about or like his crate and more. After working with Victoria, we learned how to give our dog the cues he needed to get the behaviors we all wanted. He quickly learned to love his crate as his safe and special place, housebreaking was rapid and our dog learned to trust us. Victoria gave us the tools and skills we needed to be good dog owners and our dog responded positively and swiftly to Victoria's techniques. And, speaking of positive, Victoria only uses positive training methods -- no punishment. And our dog loved, loved, loved Victoria. Well done!
My Aussie is a happy, healthy eight year old, but he was always really difficult to take for a walk. He just didn't respond to the leash, no matter the collar or the trainer, and I'd tried several of each. I would come home from what should have been a pleasant walk in tears. Then I found Rick. Now long walks with Rolly are a blessing for us both, and his obedience training has made living with my active guy much easier and more fun. I am sooooo grateful. I've also watched Rick with other dogs. He is a master of his craft. Big, little, tough or timid, he knows how to help them and how to help you, so your bond and time together become more fun and rewarding.
Hey, all! I train service and good, old house dogs. I offer obedience training. I prefer to start training them as puppies, and work with them from there.
I am a highly experienced dog trainer who can teach you to communicate with your dog. Build a relationship and teach him to obey your verbal commands and hand signals within his environment. So you may have a successful relationship with your doggie or dogs. 🐶
I live in Littleton. I trained my dog and the neighbors' dogs. I babysit my neighbors' and sister's kids all the time. They love me.
If you are looking for some help with your dog, then look no further. I love dogs and have worked with Ted Terroux's dog training, as well as Animal Behavior College. I would love to to walk your dog or dogs and/or provide obedience training as well. I will also work with you to help maintain your dog's training.
We have a unique backround in which we have worked with over 50 different species of animals in zoos and aquariums. From tigers to sea lions, polar bears to bald eagles, we have learned how to successfully work with a vast variety of animals and do it all using positive reinforcement. No shock collars and no dominance or fear-based training.
I work alone. I do dog/puppy training, walking and pet sitting. I have a very high passion for animals, and I love working with animals.
As mention previously I have worked in or at least study most of the fields related to the pet industry. This gives me a unique outlook on the overall care your pet should receive.
