FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Ross Burkholder, the Owner of Arsterra Painting, moved to Colorado after attending Penn State University as an English Major. He began his construction career in Parker, CO, working as an apprentice for a Kitchen and Bathroom remodeler. From there, he chose his own trade to pursue, and began subcontracting as a painter. Since he began running and managing his own jobs, Ross has overseen over $800,000 of residential painting work.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Arsterra Painting is a residential repainting and new construction painting service. We specialize in all varieties of housing exteriors, from wood and cement board siding to stucco. We also are top notch interior painters, repainting to preserve and beautify your home, and also painting new remodels, starting from bare drywall and trim. We also specialize in enamels, polyurethanes, lacquers, epoxies, and stains.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The most important factors in a good paint job are prep, paint product quality, and paint thickness. Always look for every facet of prep in the contract to make sure the painters will do everything they can to make your project last. The type of paint being applied is also very important. Arsterra Painting primarily uses Sherwin Williams SuperPaint, which carries a 25-year warranty when applied to the required thickness. Arsterra Painting also will guarantee that thickness by telling you how many sq feet of siding and trim your home has, and giving you a number of gallons that we will apply to achieve the required spread-rate.
