- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I completed my Kinesiology degree back home in San Jose, Ca. Currently working on my psychology degree with a concentration in counseling at CSU. I am a Certified Personal Trainer through ACE. I have completed a TRX, Corrective exercise, Behavioral change specialist, Functional movement screening and functional movement certification all through ACE. I completed my ACE Precision nutrition level I recently and became a Registered yoga instructor with Yoga Alliance. I will always seek out new information as with exercise and fitness there’s so much to learn it’s endless. I am always staying on top of current fitness research and trends however I believe that basic compound movements should always be a staple in any programming I have a unique approach as I’m working towards becoming a mental health therapist so I can coach you from a deeper level of understanding and learn your behavior patterns to get to some rooted habits. I won’t just throw you a meal plan which I don’t do and tell you what to eat and when to exercise. The idea is that you fundamentally learn the why’s to better understand the function behind behaviors and make a lasting change. A lot of the focus will be on mindset making small shifts with nutrition and exercise, unlearning some patterns making sustainable changes and creating new habits to have better overall health and stop from dieting and gaining and losing weight.
