FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I used to be a finance analyst down in the tech center, but I felt stifled by the corporate structure, and limited by tenure. Though there is formal education for film & production, creative work is often defined by your portfolio. I reassessed my priorities, and began pursuing my passion for the visual arts. Working with well formed creative ideas simply thrills me.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked on a wide variety of videos, from short-form TV commercials to long-form documentaries, but typically we have been doing "Profile" videos for businesses, which tells that company's story and communicates their core mission to the viewer.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Having a firm budget number is critical. Once that is established, you can more effectively shop among the tiers of video production. It also helps production companies gauge what you are looking for. Changing the budget number throughout a production is a good way to scare off videographers.
