FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The first lesson is always free. Onwards, I offer two discount packages for lessons paid for in advance: 10% off for 5 lessons and 20% off for 10 lessons.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Purpose of the first lesson is to give the students an overview of what is involved, as well as who I am as a teacher, so that they can make informed decisions before committing to lessons. Then, my curriculum will depend on the student's skill level, goals, and week-to-week progress. . I like emphasizing proper technique and also encourage students to connect with their imagination as it relates to music. From my experience imagery is a very integral part of learning any movement discipline, including playing a musical instrument, and I use Eric Franklin's approach to relating imagination to developing beautiful musical technique.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Seven years of classical training on piano through the Georgia State Conservatory (Georgia as in the republic in Eastern Europe, my birthplace); studied Jazz Piano Performance at Metropolitan State University of Denver; ongoing work with mentors and private teachers in two different musical disciplines; various masterclasses and competitions.
