- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?A block of four lessons is $180.00, payable on the fourth lesson of each block. A block of four half hour lessons for children is $100.00 per month. A block of four forty five minute lessons is $140 per block.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I usually explain my policies and address any questions. Then, the student is the focus as I find out his / her previous experience and musical and personal goals. Vocal students do warm-ups and sing for me so they can relax and settle in as I listen. Piano students with prior experience may play so I can listen and watch for technique and prior knowledge. Guitar students start with learning basic techniques for acoustic guitar and skills to read chords and written music. No matter what the level of the student, I strive to serve with the very best of my abilities.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I hold a bachelor's degree from Colorado State University in voice and music education and over 60 hours in graduate work. My teaching experience includes teaching Elementary, Middle School, High school level and adults. My choral directing experience includes assisting in the creation of the Colorado Children's Chorale as it's first Assistant Director under Duane Wolfe. In addition I have studied singing under Dr. Scott Martin from the Julliard School in New York and continue to grow under his mentorship as a vocal coach. I also have studied jazz piano and theory for eight years. I also have taught theatre, and dance. I currently am continuing my work on guitar and songwriting. Studying Songwriting led me to Estes Park for five summers, working with published songwriters in order to perfect my craft. I really enjoy all the performing arts.
