FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When we begin our work with a new client we want to get to know you as a person before we get to know you as a tax return. We will discuss what circumstances lead you to need professional help and guidance. We then evaluate your current understanding of your tax situation and develop a game plan from there, whether it is preparing your current tax return to maximize all of the credits and deductions you are entitled to or digging into the past to clean up old obligations and negotiating with the IRS or state taxing authorities.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Christine and Brett are both Enrolled Agents with the Internal Revenue Service. Enrolled agents (EAs) are America's Tax Experts. EAs are the only Federally licensed tax preparers who also have unlimited rights to represent taxpayers before the IRS. - See more on the National Association of Enrolled Agents' website @ naea.org.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Christine and Brett have been in the field of tax for over 25 years with more than 17 years dedicated to the preparation and resolution areas of tax. As employees for corporations they learned valuable information, both technical as well how best to service the needs of the tax payer. Through their experiences they determined that there was a large group of tax payers that needed and wanted a more personal approach to taking care of their specific needs.
