It was fun working with Kara. And because she's so fun and loves what she does, the results show in the final product. She captures all of our personalities. Her timing of when to take the picture is perfect. She is also extremely creative in her composition of the photographs. And knows when to bring a whimsical effect to the look and also knows when to be more conservative in her approach. She really has a knack for photography. We have been blessed by Kara to have family keepsakes of both are daughters senior high school pictures and family portrats of the 6 of us. Our photos were all taken outdoors, so Kara knew when it had to be rescheduled because the weather wan't perfect for what she was trying to get. Her patience paid off and the lighting of the pictures came back beautiful. Each of our phot shoots lasted about an hour. Kara took many candid shots and poised shots, so we had many to choose from. It was tough to eliminate any. Yes, Kara went above and beyond to shoot excellent photographs of our family. She is very professional in her work and will help families create many lifetime memories. Kara has an eye for a realistic yet stunning pictures that not only can make the subjects in the picture look like there are in their natural element but also make the subjects feel like they are. Kara took my Senior Pictures and I couldn't have been happier with the pictures she took. We spent the day together, which goes to show she is generous with her time. She gave me the choice of where I wanted my photos to be taken and came prepared with a number of suggestions as well. The experience with her was more than comfortable and the most important part is the comfort is evident in the pictures. She has a talent of making beautiful but also realistic photos, and that is why I would choose her above anyone else, her work is wonderful.

I paid Kara to take my senior pictures and it was definitely a ton of fun and very professional. She took me on a tour of Durango, places such as junkyards, parks, scenic overlooks, and abandoned train carts. The colors, artsiness, and style made the pictures wonderful to look at and I was very impressed and content. Not only do her pictures turn out amazing, but she is really funny and charismatic and a joy to hangout with.

I charge a sitting fee and then I sell print and image collections.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I just want to get to know them, what they expect from their images, and how we can make them most comfortable to capture their most unique selves.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I just have BFA in photography from Arcadia University.
