FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing System: One hour training sessions: $50 (note if the sessions go over, there is no additional charge, and my prices may be $10-$20 more depending on where you live and travel time involved on my end.) The number of training sessions depends greatly upon the owners commitment to training, and the type of training at hand. I teach you, so you can train your dog regardless if I am around.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process for working with a new customer is to talk over the phone and discuss what issues the owner is encountering with their dog, set up a time for a consult/training session. After discussing over the phone and scheduling a session, I travel to my customers house and from there: I meet you & your dog, I ask questions of the owners. (The bottom line of the questions asked, is to get an idea for your lifestyle, the dogs temperament, and the issue at hand.), the owners ask questions of me (This is always an open door for my customers. You as a dog owner have the right to have all the information and it is my job to make sure you understand everything and can train your dog with ease.), finally I work with the dog and teach the owners how to lay the groundwork needed for obedience (basic or advanced) or behavioral rehabilitation for future training sessions.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended Highland Canine Training center in North Carolina after getting honorably discharged from the military. I spent 12 weeks learning everything I could possibly absorb from top names in the dog trainer industry, and with dog trainers from around the world. I received two certificates from the school, one of which was Professional Canine Behavior and Modification certificate, the second is Police K9 Trainer certificate. I have a very well-rounded education when it comes to dog psychology and practical application of dog training techniques.
