Jay is an incredible photographer with a 6th sense for being right there for the best moments. From the day we first spoke to the wedding day, Jay was so positive and excited for us. I wanted to get beyond the auto setting on my camera when taking pictures, and though I had a basic understanding of the concepts of aperture, shutter speed and ISO, I had no idea how to apply those concepts to actually taking pictures. Although we have just started working together, Jay has already managed to help me understand the practical applications of these concepts and how to get comfortable using various settings to get desired results. He's enthusiastic, patient, articulate and able to distill concepts into comprehensible and meaningful sound bites that strip away seeming complexitiies. He has already provided me with a plethora of "ah ha" moments in learning the heretofore mysteries of my camera. Jay has a great sense of humor, and quickly puts you at ease in the learning process. So if you want someone who can help you crack the code of getting beyond the auto setting and who is an absolute delight to work with, Jay is the guy for you.
