Introduction: Other trainers use fluff to try and dazzle their clients and impress them with how much they know. I use simple strategies that just work! You'll get stronger, things will stop hurting, your performance will improve (whether that's skiing, cycling or picking up your child) and your weight will normalize. I use a minimum effective dose approach with no extraneous junk. I love helping people. I love sharing my passion for fitness and health and seeing the lightbulb come on for people. I love that even for people who don't love exercise, my minimum effective dose approach minimizes their time training and maximizes their results.

I began working with Hugh about 5 years ago after a heart blockage and a very serious back injury. My objective was to return to an active lifestyle. Over a period of about 2 years, Hugh helped me achieve that goal and much more. Rather than just regaining my lifestyle, I became fit. Last June my cardiologist told me I ranked in the 99th percentile for cardio function for men at my age (71). Since I am now unable to workout with Hugh (he is in Denver, I'm in Loveland), I used a different trainer to update my routines. He told me I was performing at a level above most people half my age. The only thing that could have been better is to have been able to continue to work with Hugh here in Loveland. I owe a big vote of thanks to Hugh. Give him your business, follow his advice and he'll help you find a better life.

Hugh is enthusiastic about fitness and really knowledgeable about anatomy. He's also entirely judgmental and I've really enjoyed working with him. I couldn't recommend him more highly.

I trained with Hugh for over 2 years and would still be doing so if he hadn't relocated to a different city. The best parts of Hugh's skills are his encouraging presence and ability to individualize and vary workouts no matter age or ability. He always kept me interested, balanced and motivated to be more fit in all areas of my life. I continue to use all the exercises I learned when we worked together. Hugh fosters independence too.
