After moving to Loveland in August of 2013, I began reaching out to A/V installers and Home Theater builders in Northern Colorado. It was a bit discouraging at first, because it's hard to distinguish between those who only work on million-dollar projects - and those that can help mere mortals like myself. That's when I heard back from Randy Revak at Sound Investments. Randy assured me that my budget was reasonable, and that he could definitely work through the challenges of short ceilings and sound isolation, all while focusing on a final product that would exceed my expectations. A tough thing, to be sure - I'm no novice in this hobby, and if I'm honest, I'm kind of picky. I visited Randy's demo theater and saw his workshop in Greeley. I left impressed with his work. The demonstration was done all with speakers and subwoofers that Randy had built himself. Fast forward to April 2014. It was time to decide if this project was going to happen or not. With some encouragement from my wife, we met with Randy and he gave us a proposal and showed us some sketches of how he would build the room. Over the next week we ironed out every detail and he answered each of my questions, and work began soon after. It took about six weeks from our first sit-down to the finished product, and I couldn't be happier. I have the dedicated theater I've always dreamed about, complete with 11 custom-built speakers, 3 custom subwoofers, two rows of 3 power-reclining leather seats, all pointed at the 120" screen. All of this happened with no unexpected extra expenses, and Randy even threw in a couple of upgrades like building a more robust center channel speaker than he had originally planned, and installing a Quadratic Residue Diffuser panel on the back wall. If you've ever considered an upgrade to your home entertainment system, I highly recommend Sound Investments. You don't need to be in the market for a dedicated space like I was: Randy can work with whatever your needs and budget happen to be. I couldn't be happier with the work that was done for me.

I have the best overall theater of any of the custom homes I have seen. Sound Investments was very responsive to my questions and addressed all of my needs in home theater design. Indeed, my theater greatly outperforms larger scale commercial theaters. My theater is my favorite part of my home and widely envied by many of our guests. If I had to rebuild my house again, I would not change a thing about my theater! Furthermore,service after the fact has been well beyond my expectations.

Sound Investments is Awesome! Nobody wants to dump a hefty wad of cash into a surround sound system that sounds unrealistic. The best home theater speakers are crisp, clear and well balanced. They fill a room and reproduce the original sound stage as much as possible. When that tyrannosaurus comes thundering up from behind, you should know. If you get a chance, do audition tests with your speakers before you make them a part of your family. Sound Investments did all this for me and more! My family is thrilled with our new sound system! We recently moved into a house with a large entertainment room in the basement, perfect for a TV and sound system. After getting quotes from several companies, we were impressed most with the professional advice from Sound Investments. Working within our budget, Randy proposed a selection for a TV, his custom made speakers, and other components, which he installed yesterday. The installation looks great, and he walked us through how it all works. We watched our first movie last night, and all we can say is WOW! Thanks, Randy!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All pricing is based on each system. We can fit any budget and strive to give the best value (bang for the buck) in every system. 95% of our business comes from word of mouth. The over priced, brand name,high mark up,hdmi cable is not what is going to make you tell your neighbor about your system.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I read about new products daily, go to manufacturer provided tutorials on new products,attend trade shows to keep up on the latest, read and study the White Papers on products to be able to understand them on a scientific level(without the brand name hype), and constantly search for new products that do more for less (bang for the buck).
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I love designing and creating. So a combination of electronics, speaker designing, woodworking and construction was a perfect fit.
