Scott Smith's professionalism and responsiveness were exactly what I needed for my remodel. Scott employs an excellent crew who were knowledgeable and fast. Aside from my change orders, they not only stayed on budget but also saved me money. Would recommend Scott Smith Design Build to anyone who wants a quality job at an honest price.

Home Remodeling

The job started well but after a few days i started getting excuses. The crew is too tired and exhausted from another job. Or they will come tomorrow but tomorrow they did not show up. Again and again excuses. I paid 3/4 of the job but then i was asked to pay more even if no workers were coming to finish the job. I asked when is going to be done? No answer. I was told the job is done and i had to go take pictures and send them to Scott. The he emailed me that from my oictures he can see that there is need for some touch ups. From my pictures??? Why did he not know. The floors were supposed to be matched blonde oak. Judge for yourself. Instead of getting his crew to finish he spent days arguing with me. Not very good.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We monitor cost for construction services through our network with other remodel companies to make sure we are in line with the market. We provide budgets that are typically based on latest cost and construction time.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We prefer to visit the property to review the services needed and provide a Scope of work that will detail all improvements. We discuss budgets and cost and determine ways to save money.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I was a construction lender with a Bank for over 35 years. I worked directly with General Contractors from start to finish with each project. Reviewing budgets, change orders, plus providing suggestions to improve cost with homeowners. Budgets are very important to me to make sure the project finishes on time and on budget.
