Working with Darcy on our special room was a pleasure! We were equally impressed by her work ethic, efficiency and artistic vision. From a simple vision of our room, she was able to create something that was better than what we could ever imagine! To understand what we liked and wished for, she had a relatively simple intake form. She then met again with us to get measurements of the room and discuss further some ideas. With this she was able to get to the most beautiful result! We had a pretty tight budget that she kept in her mind throughout. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Most of my services begin with a CONSULTATION AND HOME ASSESSMENT appointment. This is an in-depth appointment and usually takes 2-3 hours. OCCUPIED STAGING consultation is $150. From there you can select the Full Day Staging Package or a Half Day, depending on the size and needs of the home. Contact me for pricing details. VACANT STAGING consultation is $40. This consultation fee is credited back to you when you hire me. All items are rented on a month to month basis. For maximum impact, plan on at least staging the living room, kitchen plus one dining space and the master bedroom. These are the most important rooms to have staged as buyers base their decision on these rooms. The price is based upon the square footage of the home and the luxury level. The price will include design, rentals, installation, de-staging, delivery and pickup. Contact me for pricing details. FULL SERVICE DESIGN consultation is $50 and the service is billed hourly. A proposal will be given after our consultation. 20% of estimated hours is due at the signing of the agreement and then you are billed monthly for hours worked. Contact me for further details. E-DESIGN has a free consultation and only takes 20 minutes over the phone or using Skype because it is an online service. This service is more affordable than my Full Service Design because you do some of the leg work, like ordering and installation. But of course I will give you the links to make ordering simple and easy as well as give you specific instructions on how to put your room together with ease! There are multiple packages to choose from.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I always begin with a consultation and home assessment in which I take the time to get to know you and the needs of your home. From there we discuss which of my services will be best suited for you. I will be taking pictures and measurements as necessary during our consultation appointment. For my staging clients I will give you a detailed home preparation checklist to help you get your home ready for our staging day. During our staging day you will be my assistant in moving around furniture, hanging artwork and transforming your home into a buyer's dream. I give lots of decorating tips for you to use in your next home. :) Please reserve at least 2 weeks for the staging process to happen before you want to place it on the market. Staging a home right takes a little time. Last minute staging is not always possible. For my design clients you will be filling out a questionnaire to help me understand your personal style, budget and timeline. I also recommend you to set up a Pinterest Board or a Houzz Idea Board for each room that you are wanting to make changes too. Find rooms online that you find appealing and pin them to your boards. This process helps aid our discussion on what you really like so I can create spaces that suit you perfectly. :)
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I began my education by working at fine furniture stores around the Denver area in which I have had hands on experience in space planning and furniture/accessory selection catered to my clients specific needs. I have since received my certification in Home Staging and Redesign from the Home Staging Resource. I am also an accredited Expert E-Designer with specific training through the Home Staging Resource. I began my business Silver Leaf Home Staging 5 years ago and it has been very successful. I love transforming homes!
