Introduction: Hello! I'd love to help you have a worry-free day, full of smiles and laughter. My clients have praised my professionalism and creative knowledge base, and you'll find stellar reviews on my website with links to review platforms. I am a 4-time, award-winning, veteran professional and active member of the Wedding Industry Professionals Association, current chairman of the Northern Colorado Special Events Network, and I attend quarterly educational meetings of the International Live Events Association and the National Association of Catering and Events. My weddings have been published 3 times. I am fully insured. Some things I typically provide for you include: event timeline, maps/diagrams (very detailed), VIP Catalog (vendors, special guests, guests with special needs, etc.), and the ceremony structure. The information needed to create your unique event comes from the vendor contracts and a spreadsheet that lists each aspect of the day line by line (think restrooms, coat check, table numbers, gift management, etc...). I'm available for my clients any time, and truly enjoy the relationship we build through the process! I also have a design room full of props, signs and other decorative items that all of my clients get to use for one "all access" rental...votives, lanterns, ice tubs, extension cords, signs, easels, picture frames, table number holders, and LOTS more! I offer full-service planning, day-of management, destination planning and full wedding packages for small gatherings. I also offer a junior planner, who uses my same forms/products but is less experienced so she is less expensive and is a great option for a small gathering. I am now offering Intimate Affairs, Elopements and Micro-Wedding packages. My Elopement flier is on my webpage, so check it out. It's an all-inclusive, intimate affair for an elopement for 2 - 25 guests (flowers, officiant, cupcakes/champagne, music and more included!), anywhere you choose or let's choose a beautiful mountainside place. There are many backyard affair sample options on my website too.

Wedding Planning

Amanda was a life saver. I was way to busy to plan my wedding so she took everything off my plate. She also paid close attention to my needs.

Wedding Planning

Events@5280 was a lifesaver. Our previous wedding planner tried to raise her fee in the middle of the wedding planning process and Amanda at Events@5280 rescued us. Amanda is an absolute professional, but she's also fun to work with. She understood our vision and in about a month, was able to craft the most beautiful wedding we could have imagined. People are still talking about the personal touches she added, and even the employees of our wedding venue commented on it being a pleasure to work with Amanda. She has many contacts across the industry, and we couldn't be happier with the people she brought in to help with the wedding. We truly can't recommend her enough!
The Event Troupe's reply
Thank you, Ellen. Your wedding was such a treasure to work on. Thank you so much for including Events@5280 in your special day!

Wedding Coordination

Our wedding would not have gone nearly as smoothly as it did without Amanda. She stayed on top of all the little details, was extremely responsive to changes and updates, and kept everything organized.

Wedding Coordination

Amanda was AMAZING! She was a key part in making our wedding as wonderful and successful as it was. She helped so much with planning - she thought of everything and had great ideas. She was solely responsible for making the wedding day itself go smoothly and as planned. I knew I didn't need to worry about anything with Amanda overseeing vendors, guests, timelines, etc. She was always on top of it and was a real pleasure to work with over the past several months. You can tell Amanda truly cares about the bride and groom and their big day. She puts in so much time, effort and care, and consistently goes above and beyond. I had several of my guests come up to me to tell me how great Amanda was and how lucky we were to have her. I agree with them! I am so grateful to have found Amanda and Events@5820!
The Event Troupe's reply
Thank you, Caroline. You and Abe were so gracious and you made an exceptionally beautiful bride. I am so grateful to be a part of your day. 200 of your closest friends in your backyard is always a great time! Thank you!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

While I"m flexible with your needs, basically brides want two options: Wedding Management and Full-Service Planning. I offer both, and we can talk about your vision of planning your perfect wedding. Wedding Management includes timeline, vendor referrals and management, diagrams, VIP lists, design brainstorming, ceremony structure, rehearsal the night before, and all day on the wedding. Wedding Planning includes all of the above, but means I book your vendors and plan the decor/mood boards, manage your event budget, and includes a lot more meetings. For all of my clients, I handle your linens and rentals as well.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I offer a free, one-hour consultation, which is the best way to get to know someone. I think it's impossible to make the best decision without talking to people face-to-face. You'll get a feel for their style, energy and work ethic immediately. Let's sit and talk about your ideas and how I can help implement them...and maybe enjoy a glass of wine while talking. Once the contract is signed, we will have a "Welcome to the Troupe" meeting where we review the process and discuss your inspiration and goals. Overall, for "management" I provide you with worksheets to complete to fill me in on your planning and goals; we also do a logistical meeting and a design meeting. I prepare and manage your 30-day walk through and rehearsal as well. For "planning" we also do mood board meetings, I will secure your vendor contracts, and work with you on ordering all of your "stuff"...which usually includes cake knife/server, cake topper, card box, welcome sign, parting gifts, wedding party gifts, etc.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have nearly 30 years in event planning, a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, and a Master's degree in public relations. I started my career in non-profit fundraising events. From there I started creating and producing major television events from trade fairs to formal network dinners. And then I worked for a decade in high-end events for presidents of a major university. Today, I spend my time working with private clients enjoying the fresh spirit each one brings.
