My son was hesitant to start his guitar lessons, and if he didn’t like it, it would be a major ordeal to get him in the car to go. I work like everyone and have zero time left. The fact that Tess comes to the house to teach - while I prepare dinner - is freaking awesome. What a time saver. And shes made it a great experience by offering tons of encouragement and lots of laughter wrapped up in a neat 30 min session. Highly recommend.

I’ve been taking lessons from Jeff for a few weeks now, and I have appreciated his approach to teaching the drums which has taken into account my own playing abilities and tendencies rather than trying to fit a one-size-fits-all approach. Having played for quite a few years, I was looking for a teacher to help identify areas I could clean up and help take my drumming to the next level. Within a couple of sessions, Jeff was able to identify a couple of key areas that I was needing to develop (mainly related to foot and hand technique) and come up with a game plan to start building up these areas. So far, I have found this new practice area to be very beneficial, and can notice an improvement in my overall feel and flow. Jeff is also very approachable and receptive, which I think is one of the most important qualities of a good teacher. I would definitely recommend Jeff for high-quality and individual-focused drum lessons.

I was nervous about starting guitar lessons, but chose to try it out with Kevin...thank God I did! He makes it fun, enjoyable, stress free and also challenges you to do more than you think you can. He has the patience to work with someone who may need a little extra help, and the skill to work with someone who excels quickly. I love my time with him, and would highly recommend him to anyone thinking of starting the guitar for the first time, or someone who wants a little help knocking the rust off...he's fantastic!

My mom has always wanted to play the drums but never got a chance, so for her 71st birthday we got her a drum lesson package with Stephen. Never too late to learn something new! She absolutely LOVES the lessons and has been very happy with Stephen. He is professional, kind, and most of all makes the lessons fun! I am so glad that we found Stephen - he has been a fantastic teacher for my mom.

Teresa was my daughter's piano teacher here in Chicago from kindergarten to 8th grade. From time to time, aside from piano lessons she helped my daughter with her clarinet for her school band. Teresa was an excellent teacher & a wonderful person. She inspired my kids with her works. I highly recommend her for everyone that needs a music lesson.

I have been taking drum lessons from Josh for approximately two years. I am extremely pleased with my growth as a drummer. Josh’s studio is located at Denver Percussion, a full service store for all percussion needs. The lesson studio has two full acoustic drum kits - no electric drums! Not only is Josh an incredible drummer and instructor but his knowledge of enhancing your lesson with computer assistance is second to none. One of the best features is the video you receive from Josh after your lesson. Your full lesson is available to you at any time through a YouTube link provided by Josh. I give Josh my highest recommendation.

We have really enjoyed how well Rich has worked with our son. It is not easy teaching a 4 year old to play drums and Eli is LOVING it and his teacher! Thank you Thumbtack too for offering a service where we could find Joyful Noise easily.

Michael fit a great deal of curriculum into our allotted time. He was very knowledgeable about Afro-Cuban music. I must admit (being a Cuban from Miami) I was impressed at his breadth of knowledge on the subject. He is not only a top top notch teacher, but also an accomplished musician. I cant wait to continue my drumming lessons with him.

I have had a some other drum teachers and Mike is by far the best teacher I've had. He does an excellent job of building the lessons around the direction I need to improve upon and he integrates new concepts into our lessons very well. He has helped me think like a drummer, something that has been very eye opening for me. Also his analogies are on point.

Mark is one of the best musicians and teachers I have had the pleasure of working with. Not only does he have vast experience with teaching and playing multiple different instruments, he knows how to effectively teach anyone at any age or level and can quickly adapt to any student's needs. He will go out of his way to give you the best lessons possible with an upbeat and positive attitude. He is always on time, professional, flexible and punctual. He cares greatly about his students and seeing them excel. Not only a great player, Mark is a very experienced and skilled teacher that I highly recommend!

Lyza is able to connect with young children and adapt to different learners. She started with our son when he was 3.5 and he was very interested in actually playing Instruments. Most folks just turned us down and told us to take one of those toddler group classes as he was too young for real lessons. The classes were all nice but not all that interesting to him. We tried several different places. All with great reviews like swallow hill and such. Lyza has a great balance of structure, free form, global exploration with the various instruments she brings with her, focus on specifics of an instrument and learning to read music. She is also a really intelligent, kind and fun person who you can completely trust with your child. Value - she comes to your home for 45 per hour. And it's a full hour. Often a bit longer. That is an amazing value. At |15-30 for various 45 minute group classes you are better off doing lessons with lyza every other week.

I was recommended to Paul by a friend. He is so patient with me, and knows how to keep things fun! He's also incredibly knowledgeable in his teaching. He has encouraged me every step of the way! I have taken lessons with other teachers, and Paul is unique in that he brings his guitar to lessons so we get to "jam" and I feel like I'm in a band. I would recommend him for all ages. Love him!

Kai is the absolute best drum instructor on the planet. He has been excellent for our 10 year old son. He's been a blessing. We will continue to use Kai for as long as he will allow to further progress our child's skill levels.

I am Daniel, a music professional, educator and music producer. My experience spans 10 years in the Music Education, Piano Performance, Production & Composition, and Artist Development field.I have educated and collaborated with students, artists, and music enthusiasts of several genres, and proficiency levels internationally. I work with adult and teenage students, students with special needs, and students looking for instruction in genre specifics like, rock, pop, blues, Afro-beat and many more.

My drum lessons stand out from other drum lessons because I focus on teaching you what you want to know, not what I want you to know. I help you learn by associating drums with something you can personally relate to.

I have worked with kids in a wide range of jobs but will teach anyone relatively new to percussion.
