I started seeing Mike a few months ago for private guitar lessons. Having received lessons from a few other people, I can say that make is the best instructor I've had. I felt that I had hit a brick wall in learning music theory before getting lessons from Mike. But over the past few months, Mike has explained guitar music theory to me in a clear, and informative way. I know have a better understanding of guitar playing, and enjoy it more because of that. I would highly recommend getting guitar lessons from Mike whether you are a beginner, or a more experienced player that needs some help learning music theory.
Jeffrey Keefer is a versatile and intuitive musician who gives his students amazing tools to play music and enjoy playing the music they love, right from the very start! I have wanted to be able to play the piano and the guitar my entire life. My parents paid good money for 'classical style' lessons for me when I was very young, but I never felt that I was successful in my early lessons as a child. As a result of these early lessons, I even lost some of my passion for the instruments because the lessons were such dull, sad, drudgery. Now that I am older, much older, I have even less patience for the "Hickory Dickory Dock" style songs that early learners are often limited to. Jeffrey's lessons are active and engaging and have practical applications for the real world of music today. I am learning to play music that I truly love after only a few lessons! Jeffrey provides the right tools to play fun music, right now. He also supports this knowledge with the important essentials for long term musicianship. I come from a family where all of my siblings were classically trained musicians (I was the only 'undisciplined one'). My sisters and brothers conceded in conversations over the years that music would have been much more of a joy for them if they could have learned by a 'Jeffrey Keefer' style method. For me, the desired result of these lessons is to play music and build valuable skills that enable me to play, right away. I am so jazzed about practicing every day and I can't wait to learn more at the next lesson. Jeffrey Keefer's teaching method has been a breakthrough for me after years of believing that I just wasn't musically 'gifted'. Now, I play!
Melody is an amazing voice coach! I am quite the novice and I have learned more from Melody in a month than all of my collective years in choir. She has an uncanny way of teaching theory, warm ups and tempo in a very engaging way. I feel so fortunate to have found her. She is a kind soul and very knowledgeable and skilled at imparting it to others! If you are on the fence, search no more!
Mary has done a great job with teaching me how to play guitar! I'm a beginner and she has taught me all of the basics and music theory. She's also provided books for me to take home and practice, which has been extremely helpful. Definitely recommend Mary for anyone wanting to learn guitar from a more technical side.
We signed up for Traveling Music Teachers last week because we liked the idea of not driving our son to his music lesson - I have three kids, so driving all over town isn't always an option. A professional musician came to our house and did the lesson in my living room while I made dinner. It was perfect. Well done.
Only had 2 lessons but they have been really good. Helping my son with technique and mastering his 6th grade jazz band music. He moves a little quickly but so far that hasn't been a problem. Took awhile to find a drum instructor when we moved here but glad we found Stephen!
My children have very much enjoyed learning piano with Jeremiah. He is very patient with them and nicely caters their lessons to their learning styles and potential. We look forward to continuing our lessons with him!
We have hired Gary Schmidt to teach all three of our children piano lessons. He is able and willing to meet all three of them right where they are in regards to their ages (11, 8, and 5) and interests, and offers scheduling flexibility whenever possible. He is a very kind and approachable person and a superbly seasoned teacher. We are very happy we found him!
We have really enjoyed and appreciated Peter's knowledge of the piano and music theory. He has been excellent at drawing out our son's talents and encouraging him to work hard. We are so thankful that he has been able to help Josiah with not only the notes and being able to play his favorite songs new and old, but also the whole picture of music theory.
I take guitar lessons with Gene and he is absolutely awesome and has a ton of experience. He's a great teacher and has a wealth of knowledge to share. He let's the student lead and he'll teach you anything you want to learn from music theory to technique to learning any song you want to play.
If you are seeking guitar lessons take this into account: You're going to learn the chords and strum patterns regardless of who teaches you. The trick is finding someone who is passionate about music and teaching it to others. Outstanding is not a word I sling around haphazardly, but Dave has earned it. Dave is very passionate about his music, is a very talented musician and he sincerely enjoys passing along his knowledge to others. If you chose Dave as your instructor, you will not be disappointed in any way. His price is a great value.
Great music lessons with very knowledgeable professor.
Jeff has been teaching Zach for 2 months now, and we have been very impressed and grateful to have met him. Jeff Miguel is very professional and easy to work with. Zach (11) is loving his saxophone lessons, and we think he is learning fast. He looks forward to his lesson every week.
Amazing! I highly recommend Anne! She is wonderful at helping me visualize the vocal techniques so it's easier for me to understand and making me share in her excitement for music. After one lesson I can already tell she is very talented and passionate about teaching her craft! I look forward to more lessons!
I have been taking lessons at Dove Music Lessons for 5 years. I have learned so much about playing piano and performing, I especially appreciate what I have learned about music theory. Amanda is very supportive and professional. She also has realistic expectations from children, making piano lessons a fun event in my everyday life.I plan to take lessons from Amanda until I go to college.
She was very easy to understand and if she wasn't clear she could explain something in multiple perspectives. Calee's work ethic definitely shows. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking to get into music lessons!
Alex is very professional and patient. He responded to my texts very quickly. His rate is very affordable, just $40.00/ lesson. I asked him to call me, because I didn't like to text; and he called me back. I would really like to take piano lessons from him. But unfortunately, I can't at this moment. I told him that and he was very understathatnding. I would recommend him to any one who wants to take piano lessons. He's great to work with,
Mrs. Fraser is a great teacher! My daughter had taken lessons with her for years now. It has always been a wonderful experience. My daughter has learned so much about the piano and music theory. She really cares about each student and their families. We always look forward to the piano recitals for her students each year. It is a wonderful showcase of each student and where they are at in their skills. Not to mention what an excellent piano performer she is as well! Thank you Mrs. Fraser for your dedication and talent!
Our daughter loves taking piano lessons from Tami. We have found her to be a wonderful teacher, providing a solid foundation in all areas of musicianship. She has high expectations for her students, but always teaches with a warmth that makes our 8 year old love going to her lessons. As a professional musician who teaches private music lessons myself, I cannot recommend her highly enough!
Dr. Pacheco (Miss Jessica) was my son's first piano teacher when she was a PhD student at University of Georgia. She was patient, understanding, and inspirational. She customized lessons for my son and he enjoyed being with Miss Jessica for private lessons, group lessons, and music camps. Miss Jessica was also a very caring teacher. Before she left last summer, she made sure that we found a good piano teacher. When she came back to Athens for commencement last December, my son made a carnation garland for her and had another piano lesson with her. We miss her.
Brett Funk has a full understanding of applying music theory to the guitar fretboard. His experience allows him to share the ergo-mechanics of the instrument. Bretts' calm and patient demeanor makes learning a pleasurable experience.
