I have been training with Paul for a little over a year now and it has been the best decision I have made for myself. Starting this journey my focus was to lose weight(I've lost over 50lbs), but what I have discovered is that it is much more than that,finding out what your body is capable of, is one of the most rewarding feelings. Paul is incredibly patient, hardworking and creative with his workouts. - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?The process usually begins with a FMS ( Functional Movement Screen) I put the client through a handful of basic movement patterns and in the process I will be able to detect potential imbalances within the body. So we get you to your goals safely and also work on any possible dysfunctions such as lower back pain, rounded back, tight shoulders, etc. Getting you to your goals while also balancing the muscles on your body is why I work in this field.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer as well as a 2012 NYC Golden Gloves Boxing Champion. I have also worked 2.5 years at a sports facility training clients from Jr high school to College. From teaching children how to move more efficiently to training college football players for the NFL Combine.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I have always loved fitness and was very interested in how the body works and how to exercise in order to achieve balance with our spine and joints. Once this is achieved you can achieve so much more.
