About

My teaching philosophy consists of an individual approach with each student. Each singer has different vocal problems, and those needs are directly addressed. This studio gives private instruction for singing with, above all else, the principles of a healthy voice and sound. Private lessons are on a one-on-one basis for ages high school age, college-age and adults students within an hour, 45-minute or half-hour lesson, with half of the time for vocal technique instruction and repertoire selection for the other half. Musical coaching is available at no additional cost, and is woven into the lesson. Teenaged students need to be at least 14 years old. One-on-one lessons 14+ strickly observed~ Half-hour lessons are recommended for beginners. Beginner students work mainly for half an hour. For medium and advanced students, 45" lessons or 1 Hour lessons are recommended - 30" technique/30" repertoire. Upfront monthly payment of four lessons with at least 24-hour notice prior to lesson cancellation to reschedule the lesson (switch/swap) is our company policy. Weekly lessons are recommended in order to establish a good foundation. Voice students basically need to READ MUSIC. SPECIALITIES: Performance-oriented students. Singers who are at least 14+, college-age level and adult singers who are committed to taking weekly private lessons. My specialties are classical techniques within musical theatre, art song, opera and commercial styles for singers who are performance oriented. Beginning to advanced levels~ WINTER 2016 - REGISTRATION STARTS NOW for 2016! Sessions begin January 3rd for the Winter 2016 and beyond - We have limited space! Please request a specific day: Sunday-Wednesday & Time: 12pm-3pm (afternoon), 3pm-6pm (late afternoons), After 6pm (evenings) in your message requests~ NOT INCLUDED: Virtual Voice lessons via Skype or Internet. Music Therapy ("Vocal rehabilitation-type situations" need to find a music therapist). Voice classes for any age. Teens who are 13 years old - Please contact me, a month or two before they reach 14 years old~ There are sound scientific reasons that I would be happy to explain, "why" young singers need to be at both a certain mental and physical level to study intensively in a "one-on-one" lesson. LOCATIONS: Voice lessons are offered at TWO locations; Private studios are located at public venues in Fort Collins, Colorado and the Arvada Center of Arts & Humanities in Arvada. #1 FORT COLLINS 900 E. About

I teach private piano lessons to students of all levels, ages five through adult. I use a variety of musical activities with the younger student to help them feel the music in their bodies and to develop their ear for melody, beat and rhythm. For the adolescent and adult student, we strive to find music that they are passionate about playing. 30 minute piano lessons are $23 and 45 minute lessons are $34. Recitals are not required for my students. I hold piano classes at my home three times a year. One recital is held each year at a local retirement center. These are both optional. Private voice lessons are for students ages 10 and up. We start each lesson with some vocal warmups and then move on to pieces that the student has helped select. Performances are held three times a year at a local nursing home. These are optional. For those who are more comfortable singing with a small group than solo, we sing some group songs as well as solos at the nursing home. 30 minute voice lessons are $25 and 45 minute lessons are $37.

About

I teach, perform and create music for a living! I focus on quality guitar instruction through only teaching a handful of students and diving deep into areas of needed growth when instructing. My lessons can be either intense with technique training or casual and friendly, depending on the student's preference. I have played the guitar for 14 years (taught guitar for six years) and have sung for six years (taught vocals for two years). I concurrently work at Philomusica's European Music School teaching private guitar lessons.

About

Rachel Alena began her voice-over career in Los Angeles when she was in her early 20's. At the age of 15, she recorded her first work-for-hire job as a session singer for a children's album. Being a session singer in L.A. for songwriters meant she spent a lot of time in the studio behind the microphone. At one of her sessions, the engineer asked if she could speak as well as she could sing. She said she'd give it a try. He handed her a script and she did her first narrative recording. Rachel loved it and thus began a career of voice work! Rachel is a graduate, with a degree in voice and minor in keyboards, from the Dick Grove School of Music in Los Angeles. She also studied voice acting with a private coach in Dallas, Texas. Rachel Alena has been a voice talent, on-camera talent and vocalist for over 20 years. She has voiced commercials, tutorials and narratives for clients such as T-Mobile, Procter and Gamble, Harvard University, and DuPont, to name a few. She was also the regular female voice for the Daytona Online News Journal. She currently does voice acting coaching from her Big Bite Studio and runs workshops as well. Rachel is the lead singer and writer for the popular Boulder based band, Rachel and the Ruckus. She is also a for hire songwriter, most recently writing songs for the children's Dino Buddies animation series.
