FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We only require a commitment of at least one semester for lessons during the school year. We offer a reasonable monthly fee. Lessons missed will be rescheduled if we have notice within 24 hours. Otherwise the lesson is forfeited.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently studying with a specialist on techniques related to the "belt" voice, often referred to as the Broadway voice. There is a correct way to blend the ranges to allow the best result. Gail and I work with coaches on a regular basis to learn new repertoire.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
At an early age, 4, I began to memorize the first movement to Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata". Since my mom was a church organist and choir director I had some decisions already made for me. I enjoyed learning piano music that mom studied in a pedagogy class and began to learn much on my own. This pleased everyone that heard me play as a child and sing as an adult. I became addicted to the process of moving an audience. It is that same spirit that was given to me that gives impetus to my teaching.
