FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a BFA in Printmaking from Baylor University, where I studied lithography, silkscreen, and intaglio. After college I worked as a concert poster printer, then as an Art Director for elite clientele including Verizon and Macy's. I have been photographing for a hint longer than a decade and have done everything from product photography, to marketing media for drag racers, to weddings and family shoots.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Within the last couple years I have shifted my focus from commercial work to more intimate wedding and portrait shoots. My husband and I moved from Austin, Texas to small town Pagosa Springs, CO to be closer to nature and live a less hectic and more outdoor-oriented life. With that geographical shift came a shift in my work that follows the small close community we have wandered into.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Check their portfolio! Photographers are artists and people prefer some forms of art over others. Make sure your style and your photographer’s style are similar!
