In rating Carrie as a professional and diligent behaviorist and dog trainer, I would give her over five stars, if possible. I met Carrie when I was at my lowest point with my dog-Daphne's behavior. Daphne is a Basset Hound, and as we know, Basset's can be, according to me-stubborn. However, when I met with Carrie, she informed me that there are no stubborn or hard-of-learning dogs, it is the owner and the method of which we learn dog behavior. I was so impressed by Carrie's devotion to my dog's overall behavior, as well as her credentials in working with my dog. I am so impressed with how Carrie takes the fundamentals of behavior and dog psychology, and uses these foundations to best work with the animal. As a teacher, this is important to me, to be able to effectively work with my dog, and understand why she behaves the way she does. Carrie has been a blessing to my dog and to me. Daphne has become easier to train, and she is actually learning new skills, such as ringing door-bells to let me know she needs to go potty! I am so pleased, and Daphne can keep her forever home now. I am very impressed and would recommend Carrie highly to all those needing a dog-behaviorist.
My dog Lilly and I started in September with Dion. Each class was a learning experience. I am very pleased to say Lilly (golden-doodle) is a well mannered dog on leash and when people come over. Its a commitment for you and the dog. Real time training (park setting) is great as you and the dog experience the squirrels, other dogs, people and the every day sounds. As the issue of either the owner or the dog or both (LOL) arose Dion would correct you/dog. Dion is very accommodating. I reviewed all the dog trainers I could find. And am So pleased to have been able to choose the Right trainer for us. We can walk without issue. When Lilly wants to act up I (the leader) now know what I need to do. Thanks Dion for your dedication to better living of dog and human.
Our rescue boxer/pitbull mix (Lily) had leash aggression. We tried other trainers but couldn't get her to mind. She now loves to be called "Good Girl" . Peter was great. Wish we had found him sooner He taught us a new way to work with her. She is now great on leash, off leash and learning new commands. He was available when we called and answered all questions and met with us when we thought necessary. I would recommend Peter highly.
We learned a lot from Teresa! She helped us with techniques for our 1.5 yr old dog's fear/aggression towards strangers and leash reactivity. We were given great tools during our 3 months of training to continue improving in the future. Teresa is very knowledgeable about animal behavior and a professional that we would certainly recommend.
Chris knows his stuff! If you need help with training your dog he's the one to go to! We had our pup stay with Chris and when he came back to our house he was a model dog! It was pretty amazing that what Chris taught him didn't go away when he left Chris' home - it stuck with our pup back at our house. We definitely recommend Chris!
The thing about Michael is that he not only knows the mechanics of dog training , he obviously enjoys seeing individual progress in both animal and handler. Although there are standard mechanics for getting a dog from point A to Point B, the process and speed is an individual thing. This is what I learned from him. Now, after Michaels help, my GSD Roman is a stud!
We adopted Chappy last year thinking that he was just a little on the shy side. But just days after bringing him home he started snapping and growling at visitors, and avoiding us. Thankfully we found Scott. He really took the time to help us understand our dog's behavior and how we could effectively influence it in a positive way. He showed us the little changes we could make to help Chappy feel more comfortable in our home and with strangers. Within weeks his aggression was gone and if you met him today you’d never guess that our happy, playful dog was ever fearful or aggressive. We’d recommend Scott to anyone looking for dog training and can’t imagine where we’d be without his help.
Could not have asked for a better experience with Rogue Foothill Dog Training. The owner Allison's communication was incredible as she sent me daily texts and photo updates of my dog's progress. Their training is effective and I highly recommend for anyone searching for dog training/boarding.
My adopted 2 1/2 year old American Bulldog (Lila) was difficult on leash and was showing signs of being dog aggressive/selective. With Lance's guidance/training I now know what to do if she pulls on leash (which is becoming less and less each day). She also knows her basic commands (sit, stay and come). As for dog aggression/selection Lance worked with her for about a hour and she is leaps and bounds better. I now know what to do for dog meet and greets and how to handle the situation if she is showing aggression. Thanks Lance!
Lexi is reliable, prompt to communicate, easy to talk with, and utterly committed to my dog. As well, I have learned from her behavioral strategies that make my sometimes aggressive and anti-social dog much smoother with other dogs...........what a gift!
Christine is an incredibly knowledgeable dog trainer who teaches with patience and encouragement. She gets to know the dogs and their owners and gives them the tools they need to work together successfully. She is amazing in group classes and one-on-one, tuning into what each dog and owner needs. If you and your dog want to learn and have fun together, get into one of Christine's classes!
Matt was a great trainer. Our dog is now 100% off leash capable! Matt has done wonders! He also came to us and trained our dog in her enviroment. Matt exceeded all of our expectations!
Our Thumtack contact was a very knowledgeable and confident trainer names Andi Nault. She was not dissuaded by my very active Rhodesian Ridgeback who loves people and any dog withing eye view. She worked patiently with us, gave us some new tools to use with Penny and lots of encouragement. She offered doggy daycare which I thought might be useful and it was. Penny learned to read the cues of the other dogs that didn't want to roughhouse. Andi was very good with Penny, consistent, confident, reassuring and had other options to offer us if we wanted them but no pressure. She recommended Boarding facilities we had no knowledge of, other trainers, behavioral specialists, hour long dogie play time, etc. I highly recommend Andi Nault for whatever dog behavior you want to address.
I have had the pleasure of working with Lea for years and she's always been beyond excellent with dogs and all animals! She's loving, patient, and has such a strong concern for animal welfare. I feel confident that my dogs are in the best hands and receiving the best care when with her. You can definitely be confident that your pets will truly receive the best, most loving care as she treats them all as if they are her furbabies as well.
I have taken several dog training classes with Helena. She is a terrific trainer, both of dogs and of their humans. She has a good rapport with animals and a gentle, patient approach. I would highly recommend her to work with your beloved pets.
So my dog has been experiencing some slight dog aggression on our walks. I called Patrice and she was very good about getting back to me and getting something set up. She is very knowledgeable about dog behavior and assessing what the actual problem was. I have only had 2 sessions, but I am feeling very confident that with her training we are going to have much happier walks! I highly recommend her services!
My Aussie is a happy, healthy eight year old, but he was always really difficult to take for a walk. He just didn't respond to the leash, no matter the collar or the trainer, and I'd tried several of each. I would come home from what should have been a pleasant walk in tears. Then I found Rick. Now long walks with Rolly are a blessing for us both, and his obedience training has made living with my active guy much easier and more fun. I am sooooo grateful. I've also watched Rick with other dogs. He is a master of his craft. Big, little, tough or timid, he knows how to help them and how to help you, so your bond and time together become more fun and rewarding.
I love dogs and helping people. These are my top two favorite things in a part-time hobby. Sign me up! I've never lived in a house without at least three dogs, sometimes as high as six or seven. So, there isn't much that I can't handle. Why I want to sit? I work for myself from home. I have loads of time on my hands, and I already take care of my dogs. They love it when we have company! Whether I come to your place or they come to mine, your dogs will get the best of care and attention. I may even do some training with them!
As mention previously I have worked in or at least study most of the fields related to the pet industry. This gives me a unique outlook on the overall care your pet should receive.
