Introduction: I have been training dogs since 1995. I use voice, treats, positive training and a lot of love. Six weeks of training includes learning to sit, down, stay and wait. Come, and watch me walking on a loose leash and heel. My previous clients have been amazed in their dogs' attitude after six weeks. In one class, the class wanted to see the wait command. They gave me the wildest dog. I asked it to sit and wait, and I went through the door; the dog waited. As I came back into the room, he waited again. The class broke out into an applause. It is very rewarding to see a teenage dog becomes well behaved. I have chosen to go private after many years in a class setting. Many people find it hard to take a hard-to-handle dog to a class with many more hard-to-handle dogs. When the training is in your home, the dog learns what you expect. Walking in a park or on the trail becomes fun and enjoyable. Many times, the walking has come to halt because your arms are being pulled out of the socket. Using a positive approach helps make your dog your companion and friend instead of a backyard decoration.
